Bluebird Day has a new riverfront property! Come and enjoy River West, located downtown in the heart of Bend. The location will make it possible to park your car and walk everywhere. This historic mill house was built in 1918 for the excutive management team during the mill days. With still some it original characteristics, we do hope you enjoy the vintage charm of this older home. This home is located right on the river and steps from Miller’s Landing Park. The footbridge that is close by will take you over the river into Columbia Park with a playground for kids. You can put your paddle board or kayak right in the water from here. If you decide not to bring your own, a paddle board and kayak is available. This charming bungalow has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a gourmet kitchen for those delightful home cooked meals. The private master suite is located upstairs with a king bed, gas fireplace, and its own bathroom. The other two bedrooms are on the main level with queen beds. One bedroom has it’s own private bathroom. A cozy living room features a gas fireplace, HDTV, books for those evenings indoors. The private and relaxing backyard with river access, Salt system hot tub, gas grill, fire pit and numerous seating areas is surrounded by nature. This makes a perfect setting while staying right in town. You are just 30 minutes away from Mt Bachelor Ski resort and the Central Oregon Cascades. Being our first visit to Bend, it was hard to tell if we should stay in town, or in a more natural setting on the outskirts. I thought this place had the best of both worlds. We used it as a base for a ski trip to Mt Bachelor and it fit our needs perfectly. It was easy to get to the mountain, we appreciated having the hot tub, washing machine, and gas fireplace to come home to, and we love staying in Bend for the great food options for dinner. As a result, you just get a tiny view of the water, and you have to move the tree out of your way to launch a paddle board or swim. The house itself is very old and needs some love and a deep clean.
