« I booked the rental on less than 24 hours notice. The owner was terrific. She communicated clearly beforehand, had great information about the area waiting in the space, and leaving was very easy too. She even reached out to see if I needed to extend by a day. This is located midway between Eureka and Arcata and was very convenient. The kitchen had everything I needed and everything was clean and comfortable. I hope to return sometime. »

« Lovely place and just the right size for two people. Private and quiet. Super comfortable bed. Good location for walking to a few key places nearby. As seniors, it was a bit tricky to follow the rule to take shoes off outside and leave them outside (as opposed to taking them off on the mat immediately after entering), as it was difficult to then lift our bags in/out the door without getting damp/cold socks; but we managed! Would definitely stay here again. »

It was perfect as a base to explore the area from Eureka to Trinidad, with lots of opportunities to hike in the redwoods, birdwatch at the famous Arcata Marsh, and stroll/tidepool at the many beaches. »

« This was a lovely little place to stay. Close to town. It was very clean and seemed to have everything we wanted.
I only complaint was the gates that you had to use to enter into the property. It’s a padlock with tiny tiny little numbers that I could barely see. I struggled for several minutes at a time to lock and unlock the gates. And the gate is super heavy. It would be really nice if they would put an electric gate in because me being elderly I had a very tough time with it. »

« This property is like you have a friend who has a house in a beautiful area you want to visit, but when you ask if you can stay with them, they say sure, but we won't be home while you're there. What I mean is, it is so well stocked, it is like a family home. It was lovely and immaculate. We stayed for six days, using the house as home base to explore the redwoods and surrounding communities.
