Minor things first - During check-in, front desk didnt inform us the bfast venue/time (it was included in our booking) nor the wifi password. The room itself was rather clean but the aircon was very cold despite adjusting temperature to 30C and lowering aircon fan speed to 1 so we think the thermostat is broken. The resort lobby is very cold too & the rainy weather made it worse. Breakfast buffet lacked variety & they reused part of the dinner menu on previous night.
The major things - the Expedia booking indicated CLEARLY that the price we paid for included the NYE gala dinner. We even called to confirm before our trip. However, when we asked the front desk for the details, the staff claimed that we were not entitled to the dinner as the price we paid was too little to include the dinner! Only got our dinner after checking back THRICE with him. Dinner was outdoor & not prepared for wet weather. Rain could still come in even with canvas shelter, field was muddy, & had insufficient light. Housekeeping was not thorough. Didnt replace both towels in my room & we had to ask for them. My friend's room only had 1 hand towel replaced & they didnt bother asking for it. But during check-out, the front desk staff said 1 hand towel was missing and although we explained, Housekeeping claimed they had given us the hand towel so wanted to charge us for it. We don't know the conclusion since we had to rush for the ferry so I guess I will only know if it appears on my bank statement...
