« We fell in love with this property and wish we could have extended our stay for at least a few more days, but we had other plans to move on to. The beautiful home is set upon a hill with amazing views of the countryside. We were able to really disconnect, and traveled to some local places to sightsee within nature, and into town for some dinner (plenty of options in the neighboring villages). « Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. »

« Dunkirk cottage provided us with all we needed for our holiday in Roman wall country.. well presented and cosy to come home to in the evening.. central heating instant for chilly evenings. « A nice stay close to all of Hadrians walls main attractions and lots of walks. Property was clean and tidy with everything we needed. Parking nearby or on street after 6pm. Overall a well located and comfortable place to stay. »
