The cottage is beautifully restored, comfortable, and has stunning views. Hexham is a wonderful town just a short drive away. We had no vehicle and used local taxis, which were easy to get. The beautiful home is set upon a hill with amazing views of the countryside. We were able to really disconnect, and traveled to some local places to sightsee within nature, and into town for some dinner (plenty of options in the neighboring villages). The house had everything possible that you could need, to feel comfortable and at home. Loved that you could have all the windows open to let in all the light and see the stunning views, or close the shades and get some restful sleep. You can also enjoy the hiking paths nearby or just sit and watch the adorable family of rabbits nibble at the grass and chase each other around, and cows grazing nearby.
