It is on a quiet, private road, close to everything Southwest Harbor has to offer. Take the 1/2 mile walk or drive to Seawall Beach or the local lobster pounds, hop in the car and continue on to the hiking trails and Bass Harbor lighthouse, or take the 5 minute drive to the town center for dinner and shopping. The home itself is spacious and sunny and consists of a master en suite with a queen bed and full bath with walk in shower, a second bedroom with two queens, and a hall bath with a tub/shower combination. There is a full two car attached garage to store your bikes and kayaks. You will also find coolers, beach chairs and lawn games for your enjoyment. The home is spotlessly clean and has absolutely everything you need. Very convenient for Bass Harbor Lighthouse. We loved being away from the crowds and chaos of Bar Harbor. I highly recommend staying here!Would recommend dinner at nearby Peter Trouts. Location is solid for getting into SW Harbor and accessing other areas on that part of MDI. Interesting neighborhood with what appears to be combination of seasonal cottages, year round residences and camp sites. Tons of deer everywhere in this specific part of MDI. Good sized new grill works well and kitchen has updates appliances and all the tools needed to cook just about anything. Garage space is helpful for gear/equipment, bikes and watercraft. Everything was stocked as advertised. i’ve stayed at many VRBOs that did not have the items they listed in their description and then you need to run to a store to pick up needed items. This is also the cleanest vrbo that i’ve stayed. The bed linens and pillows were really nice. We loved that after a busy day hiking or in the nearby towns, we could go back to this peaceful retreat. Most evenings we would sit out at a fire before going to bed. It was also neat to see deer and their fawn passing through the yard. Amy was an attentive host prior to and during our stay, answering any messages or calls promptly. I would highly recommend this location ##### Heather R.
