Newly built with every attention to detail and décor, it was designed to be a perfect retreat for guests with the most discriminating tastes. When you walk in you are met with a breathtaking living room and dining area with hardwood floors, a large stone fireplace, down sofa, wrought-iron chandeliers and rustic handcrafted coffee and dining tables. A two story wall of windows above the fireplace overlooks Cadillac mountain and the peaceful secluded woods surrounding the house. Double French doors open onto a wrap around deck perfect for entertaining large groups with a gas grill and outdoor seating. Inside, the beautiful brand new kitchen is furnished with every amenity including a dishwasher, microwave, gas stove, double sink with stainless steel fixtures, and an island that is open to the living room making it a perfect place to re-connect with family and friends. Walk upstairs to the alcove loft that overlooks the living area for a quiet retreat, or continue on to the master bedroom complete with a walk in closet and private balcony. The attached master bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub, double granite sinks, and stainless fixtures. The bed has a queen sized luxury superior comfort pillow top mattress. The remaining four bedrooms are equally as comfortable with the same queen sized mattresses, “log” beds, dressers, and ample closets. On the lower level is a large game room with a brand new 8 foot pool table and a foosball table, additional double French doors and a third full bath. Finally, one of the best attractions about this home is its location. The house is 3 ½ miles from the enchanting Village of Bar Harbor, Mt. Desert Island’s artistic, culinary, and social center. Located on the shores of Frenchman’s Bay, it offers the charm of a small New England fishing village with all the attractions of a major resort including restaurants, shopping, and a lively nightlife. The house also borders Acadia National Park, and is less than a mile from the Atlantic Ocean. Nearby are entrances to some of the best hiking trails in the country, as well as a huge variety of outdoor activities including canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, deep sea fishing, sailing, biking, and much more. Also close by is the popular Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, and Cadillac Mountain, the most beautiful place to watch the sun rise in the country. It sets on a beautiful property and is a mile from access to Acadia Park loop road, not to mention close to town. More than enough space for 5 adults to lounge around. The weather was starting to turn to fall so using the fire pit and having the fireplace was so nice. Had a question, and the property manager was so quick to answer. Highly recommend. ##### Trina K. Others were missing the tips. •we found a load in the dryer that included a disintegrating shower carpet. It left a lot of gritty crumbles that required thorough cleaning before we could use the dryer. We wiped out what we could with paper towels. Séjour de 7 nuits en juin 2025 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Mona T. 27 juin 2025 Points forts : Propreté #### Bar Harbor Puffin Adventure We loved our stay at this Bar Harbor log cabin home that was within minutes of downtown Bar Harbor, Thunder Hole, The Wild Gardens of Acadia (highly recommend), Schooner Head Overlook, Asticou Azalea Garden and several accesses to the park. This place easily sleeps 10 people with all the comforts of home. The beds were comfortable and included 2 pillows per person. There was an abundance of towels and we never ran out of hot water! The kitchen was well furnished with cooking equipment and tableware. The oven, stove, toaster, coffee maker and dish washer worked well. There was lots of space where the family could gather together or hide if you needed a little quiet time. My 3 year old granddaughter loved the deck - great place for her to play and ride a little bike. The side porch with the entrance to the house was covered allowing us to unload the car and quickly get out of the rain on arrival. We used the fire pit twice to make some-mores. It was very convenient to the Park Loop, Acadia, and Bar Harbor. It was secluded but close to everything we were interested in doing and seeing. Unfortunately, the weather was not very cooperative so we werent able to enjoy the firepit as much as we would have liked. The house was everything it said it the description. The beds were awesome. We are a family of 10 adults and had plenty of room. The park is fun to visit though parking can be challenging. The same with Bar Harbor, great town but difficult to park. I’d recommend this home and location for a Fall getaway. Foliage was amazing. House was clean and stocked but needed a few more forks and coffee cups. 😀 ##### christy h. The house is large and can fit 8-10 adults comfortably. We loved that this house is one mile from the ocean path and 10 minutes to Bar Harbor. 5 of our family had never been to Acadia and this house probably spoiled them. We loved the large deck and the fire pit was a nice amenity that we enjoyed several evenings. We would definitely stay again. You feel like you are in the woods secluded but you are right near all the action. You do need to bring paper towels and extra toilet paper but everything else was supplied. ##### Angel M. It's so close to Bar Harbor, less than 5 minutes from Sieur de Mont Acadia entry, and is so quiet! We loved the fire pit, balcony, and beautiful light coming in the large windows! ##### Shonna K. There was 8 of us. the house was wonderful with such great access to downtown and the national park. The best were so comfortable. The only time we needed to contact Ken, things were taken care of immediately. The name is perfect. You can walk to trailheads or hop the bus that goes right by the house. Town is a short drive or bus ride away. Acadia had been a favorite vacation spot for me, my children and brother and his family. So this was a special vacation as we returned with my grown children and their young boys. The house was spacious for our group. The children enjoyed the pool table, games,etc. They loved roasting marshmallows at the fire pit. The house could have been cleaner though. Also we were seven people and there were only 7 forks which meant we had to wash forks throughout the day to have them available. Overall, the house was in a great, quiet location with plenty of space for all of us to spread out. We particularly appreciated that it was so close to Bar Harbor and its shops and restaurants. ##### Linda K.
