Breakfast at the Level 2 café was a little disappointing. The variety did not change much across the four mornings we were there. Interestingly, the bread toaster was placed under the counter, which made it slightly inconvenient to use. An egg station would have been a nice addition, but unfortunately it was not offered. Since Ascott is a Singapore-owned brand, it would have been a pleasant surprise to see some Nanyang-style items in the buffet. Many of the boiled eggs were also left sitting in the basket for too long, becoming cold and hardened. On a positive note, the reception staff were warm and friendly, and the concierge service was excellent throughout our stay. Our room was consistently well made and clean, thanks to the attentive room chambermaid, whose attention to detail we appreciated very much. Nearby, a McDonald’s is scheduled to open soon, and the large adjacent mega mall is expected to open around 2026–2027, which will make the area even more convenient for future guests.
