The room felt clean and fresh, although the pool floors felt dirty. It was like people were walking in with their outside dirty shoes. Overall a wonderful stay! Pro’s: amazing pool and pool amenities. Cleanliness and style was 5/5\. Location was also great. Free parking included. The shower was beautiful and functional. Staff was wonderful. Con’s: the room layout was very tight. Literally no counter space in the “bathroom”. Thermostat was locked and couldn’t change the temp- we slept very hot. Water pressure on the tap (not shower) was very poor in our room. Also, the nespresso machine wasn’t working. Oh and no room service or vending machines for snacks. We were a family of four that stayed and we likely won’t be back unless we pay for a bigger room. The rooms are very comfortable and beautifully designed. Our only issue with the room was the lack of places to hang a wet towel at the sink, easily resolved with a small rack. The sink is set outside the shower/toilet area, basically in the bedroom, next to the front door. I don't like these set-ups, because if your partner is sleeping, you can't easily use the sink without making noise and turning on a light. That brings up the subject of lighting. The room has nice, but very soft ambient lighting. The light over the sink needs to be much brighter. I found it very hard to put on makeup! Overall, we had a great stay. The staff couldn't have been friendlier. The new pool has showers, two hot tubs and two saunas. There are changing rooms and comfortable places to Lounge. Walking to the heart of downtown is 5 minutes, and there's a restaurant attached to the hotel for pretty good meals. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance. If you're not staying at the iconic Banff Springs Hotel, The Kenrick is a great alternative. ##### Diane Stayed 2 nights in Sep 2025 ### 8/10 Good #### Janet Oct 21, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities Overall a good stay. Some of the front of house staff weren’t super friendly, others were great! It almost seemed as though they were annoyed that we were staying there. Pool facilities were fantastic though. Would definitely stay again just for the pool. The entire family enjoyed it. The bathrooms are tiny and I am a small person. I’m sure the larger rooms, may have bigger bathrooms but I could barely get in without hitting the shower door, I’m 5’1 and petite. Even my kiddos found it tiny. The bar area didn’t have any overhead lighting, which could have been useful in the evening. A table or a desk in the room would have also been a nice touch. This would allow a place for a laptop or to dine in. Again, the larger suites seem to have this. Other standard rooms at other establishments have had at least one or the other. There were also no hooks or a hand towel rail to place a hand towel for drying at the sink area. Just a few of these little touches would have been nice. Overall the design is good and the beds are comfortable. Underground parking is quite low. They also do not have EV chargers. But there was enough parking that we found a spot. Although our bathroom space was small and tight squeeze for the toilet bowl and door. Aircon worked. Love the bedsheets and firm beds. Nespresso was a great help us wake us up with great coffee as I watch from the balcony. Parking was good though small for entrance with our 2025 SUV rental. We missed the pool and spa as it was closed not to open til June 25\. Kudos to the staff. Front manager Mark was super nice and accommodating from the start. He even showed me the pool under construction as was advertised in the website. He gave us our Roam bus tickets as complimentary .The Hotel was close to almost anything so the location was perfect. The fat Ox served us breakfast that was so great. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful with any questions or concerns we had. The room was beautiful and clean as well as the property.
