The best time to visit Balthali is during the autumn months of September to November or the spring months of March to May.

Autumn in Balthali brings clear skies and comfortable temperatures, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking and village exploration. The post-monsoon air is crisp, offering excellent visibility for panoramic views of the Himalayas, which is a major draw for visitors. This period is particularly good for those looking to enjoy extended walks and photography.

Spring offers warmer temperatures and the chance to see the rhododendron forests in bloom, painting the hillsides with vibrant colours.
