Our room was actually in the Castle Lodge, about 200 yards before you reached the Castle. The grounds were terrific, and we were met by the "welcoming committee" (namely, 3 of the 4 castle dogs: Higgins, Molly/Maggie, and Einstein).
Our room (really a suite) was huge - about 40'by 32', including a sitting room. The bed was an extra large 4-poster canopy bed. The breakfast was served in the castle and it was delicious.

Expedia had actually made a mistake with our booking but the staff were incredibly helpful and fixed the problem right away. The hotel was very clean and had amazing views of the bay. 10/10 would recommend staying here.

We only stayed one night before playing Ballybunion. It was very welcoming. They were very accommodating with an early breakfast and offered showering facilities post round.

Wonderful host made us feel right at home in a comfortable spacious room. A couple small concerns were addressed promptly. Breakfast was wonderful and we enjoyed the company of another couple who were eating at the same time. It is a farm B&B so don’t expect a gas station or grocer in the immediate area, but the Long Dock restaurant is a 5 minute drive away and excellent.

Our stay at the Manor West Hotel was very good. The hotel is modern, clean and bright. Our room was a highlight but we did opt for an upgrade. It was nice to come back to the hotel after a day of seeing the local sights. The pub offered good food and drink and we dined there both nights. The breakfast was good with friendly staff. We would recommend staying at the Manor West Hotel.

While vintage in appearance, the Grand Hotel looks impeccable and very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. While we did not have the available hot breakfast, we chose the fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals and out of the oven, delicious scones. Highly recommended.

Lobby and main entrance are beautiful. It was easy to get parking on street close to hotel. Food was very good at restaurant in hotel. Good breakfast too. Staff very helpful. The only weak point is the missing fridge or microwave in room, but staff offered to keep our cold items in the reception fridge. Room are comfortable.
Location very good to visit the area.
