Four vibrant bedrooms sleep 14 guests total—each with either a queen or king bed (and one with a pull-out sofa to sleep two). Best of all? Our coveted South Congress location is a short walk from some of the city’s most popular restaurants and sites. Park in your private driveway, drop your bags, and: Find your ideal hangout spot. South Congress Custom House is a 2,600 sq. ft. industrial-chic haven with concrete counters, clean-lined furnishings and custom ironwork details. Outside, find a BBQ-ready space with a fenced yard, charcoal grill, smoker, fire pit, and leafy, serene landscaping. Can’t decide between indoors or out? You can also have both at once: there’s also a screened side porch for enjoying Southern breezes without the direct sun. This space even has its own wet bar and a nap-worthy sectional sofa. Easily explore two of Austin's best streets/neighborhoods. The South Congress area (aka SoCo) is undoubtably an Austin favorite—and you're right in the middle of it here. To the other side is South First, another activity-packed thoroughfare. Foodies will appreciate the range of options at their fingertips, from Torchy's Tacos to some of the city's best Thai food at Sway (both are less than a 5-minute walk away). Make a night of it and catch some live music at The Continental Club, just a 10-minute walk. Admire some Austin originals. The hospitality & responsiveness of the property management company was quick & efficient. We really enjoyed our stay & would rent this property again. The house was very nice but not sure I would call it "luxury". There were a few small details that may need to be addressed. There are many different light switches & it's confusing at first. Would be great if they were labeled. There is really nowhere to put luggage in the bedrooms so it would be nice to have luggage racks in each of them. The furniture cushions in the screened porch area are old & tired. It was not comfortable to sit for any length of time. The sink in the upstairs guest bath isn't big enough to even wash your face in which was strange. The kitchen isn't well stocked if you are cooking a big meal but I'm sure most guests don't do that. It would be nice to have more than 2 barstools for such a big bar area. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and again, the location & the property management team were 5 star. ##### Suzanne D. The house was nice and clean. Good outside area to barbecue. There were a couple of unfortunate things we experienced. First off the microwave had a short in it and did not work very well. We were not able to warm up any food through the evening. They did replace it the next day but we were done cooking by the time it arrived. Also the TV on the porch area did not work. They were not able to repair it and it was the only other TV in the house so it was a bit of an inconvenience to our group. They stated they would get back with us after discussing a way to compensate for lack of these things that were advertised but we never received a response. All in all the property was nice. Maybe would have chosen another property had we known they were only going to have one TV for our large party and per the house rules could not be outside past 10:00 pm. ##### Rachel A. Plenty of room and the house is well equipped with everything you need to feel like home. We really enjoyed our stay here and the check out process was very easy. We were celebrating the holidays in Austin with family and the house was amazing. Our family enjoys walking and the home was perfectly located that we didn’t even rent a car. House was a great layout for 5 adults and 2 kids, more than enough space and the house was very clean and very comfortable Also, mostly everything you could need was provided. Great to walk to restaurants and shops on Congress. Yes, the management company / VRBO should disclose that the home next door is under construction. Kitchen was large and well stocked. The property manager was very generous and allowed us early check in and late check out so we had enough time to decorate and clean. There were good instructions for where things were located. When we come back to town, we will try to book this same home. ##### Diana K.
