Apple Farm

"I have stayed previously in their motel side, smaller rooms, but very charming and I love that your car can park right outside your door for convenience. Here they also allow dogs, which was great for us. This trip I came without my dog and stayed in the main building. I had a very nice stay, lovely spacious room, good shower and bed, coffee, and tea bar in the lobby. I prefer the idea of everything being included in the price of your hotel, however, they charge extra for parking ($25), and for “amenities“ ($10). They have a pool (didn’t use) and they give you tasty cookies at check-in, but this does not feel special when they tack on these fees, unless it is a true vacation resort. Being a senior myself, and recalling the heyday at the Apple Farm when my parents loved to come here, I am disappointed to see how things have changed, in particular with the restaurant and gift shop. No longer do you feel like Family, walking through the pretty garden and “back door” and through the well stocked gift shop and bakery, as it used to be. Now you walk up to the street entrance, and if you decide to stay, you will have a long wait for everything, as it is understaffed. The food may be good, but the wait time is a deterrent, and this time I chose to go elsewhere for my breakfast. It is still a lovely property and I hope business improves over time to where they can resume some of the practices that made it the awesome getaway that it was, “back in the Day.” 💭"

"I liked the closeness to the beach. The staff at check in was friendly and helpful. I wish we had known before hand that construction was going on, parking was at a premium. The wallpaper in bathroom was peeling and the shower would drip continuously. Both were reported to front office at check out."

"So OVERWHELMED by entering the room! We stayed in the Dez. Pictures didn’t do it justice! This was best friend birthday and we loved our meal at the steak house. The pink champagne cake is a must. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice for the celebration. We would come back again over and over!"
Oxford Suites Pismo Beach

"I will definitely be staying here again. Nice to have a separate sitting area. Bathroom was okay - needed grab bars or switch out the tub for a walk in shower IMO. No hot water the first morning but they were quick to fix the issue. The evening drink and snack was an added bonus. The breakfast was unbelievable! Each morning the hot items switched up. They also had made to order eggs. Great yogurt with fruit and granola. Waffle station. Hot oatmeal each day. Well worth it. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub every day. Very clean, towels were always available, comfortable loungers with shade if you wanted it. The only downside was I was traveling with a group of 4 women and 2 of us brought cash only. We were told when we checked in that the hotel does not take cash. So there was a bit of frantic maneuvering having 2 of us put the entire stay in our cards. We did not have a dog with us but they gave a wonderful fenced in dog area with grass and benches for those who travel with their pets."
