"Beautiful house that had plenty of room for everyone. We celebrated my sister’s 60th bday with family & this house was well stocked for cooking, plenty of beds, fire pit was a nice touch. Beds were very comfortable. "

"My wife and I had an excellent stay at the School House in Monticello last weekend! The home was clean and modern and had all of the thoughtful extras that make a good VRBO home great. It is located a very short walk to the center of Monticello and yet is in a very quiet location. Our host, Brian, was helpful and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was pleasant. The bathtub in the master bath looks very stylish but has a very high step over. Elderly folks will probably want to use the beautiful walk-in shower. The orange padded swivel chair in the living room is quite comfortable – especially when used with the accompanying Ottoman – but makes a very loud creaking sound whenever you rotate. It didn’t bother us much, more of a minor annoyance.The kitchen is quite large, well-equipped, and modern. It would be easy to prepare full meals here although we did not have an opportunity to do that. Also, we wished we’d had a chance to sit out on the front porch reading a book or enjoying a cocktail. It would be ideal for those activities. Two couples could stay here quite comfortably without feeling like they were tripping over each other. Overall, I highly recommend the schoolhouse to anyone wanting a pleasant, short- to medium-term stay in Monticello. We loved it and I think you will too!"
