"The property was set just about 2mins from the main highway, making it very quiet. We loved that we couldn't hear any vehicles at all. The property was filled with lots of trees and we could hear and see peacocks many times during the day freely roaming around. The restaurant was very clean and spacious. We liked the breakfast very much. The staff was very courteous as well. The room was very spacious and clean as well, and had everything we needed. Overall, very happy with this property. Strongly recommend it."

"We enjoyed a great stay! The rooms and especially bathroom was very clean without any sewer smells. The air conditioner worked very strong. I didn’t need to use it the full time. And there were no mosquitos or critters creeping in. The host was very friendly and we had a nice breakfast during our stay. It was quiet and peaceful. The WiFi issues were fixed but honestly after a day of hiking Lion’s Rock I used the room to get much needed rest. I would certainly recommend this place to others! It met all my expectations for the two nights we stayed. Comfortable! Hot water! Air Conditioning! WiFi! Peace and quiet! No bugs or mosquitoes! Close to Sigiriya Rock!"

"A lovely stay at the Wild Grass Resort. The villa was amazing - clean, very spacious , beautiful outdoor enclosed showers. Very tranquil location. The breakfast was superb - fresh fruit , juice, fresh coffee , a choice of cooked breakfasts - plentiful and fresh. Staff were lovely - attentive and polite . Highly recommended to stay here ! Thank you ! "

"We booked 3 nights in a deluxe double room - if that was the case I dread to think what their standard rooms were like. Our room was damp and mouldy. Our clothes in the suitcases smelt damp. The room had big cobwebs everywhere. The ceiling fan was filthy. The bathroom had mould and the toilet brush was disgusting. The listing said it had mosquito nets but this was not the case. The menu for dinner was limited with a lot of items unavailable. Breakfast was not good either again limited options and the cooked items were cold. Of course I discussed the room situation with the staff but there wasn’t the option to move. The staff did their best with organising tuk tuks and transfer to Negombo which we were thankful for. We decided to move on a day/night early to get away from the mould and damp. The above makes us sound like divas but that is not the case. We are seasoned travellers and accept that accommodation in the forest/jungle of Sigiriya would not be 5 star especially when they have a lot of rain, but we would like to think the listing on this site would be representative of what we would get. By all accounts there are better places to stay close by, perhaps I didn’t look closely enough. Don’t make the same mistake we did!"

"Very good value. Very handy location for accessing the lions rock. The breakfast was excellent. Somewhat dated rooms , and there was an opening in window which I filled with toilet paper to stop mosquitoes. Otherwise ,no issues. Would definitely stay again. "
