"We booked a suite with a fireplace and jetted tub for the night. At first impressions the room seemed nice, but the fireplace didn’t work and the hot water heater must have been undersized because there wasn’t even enough hot water to fill the tub to make the temperature warmer than Luke warm. Another odd thing is that the suites are detached from the main hotel so you have to go outside to go from your room to get breakfast or to use the other amenities. It wouldn’t be a big deal but Iowa in March the weather is pretty cold in the morning. The breakfast was nice and so was the staff. "

"Warm cozy Northwoods atmosphere. Desk clerk was very nice and helpful. The outdoor fire ring was awesome. The pool although small, my daughter still had a good time in it. Our suite was clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was very filling and coffee hot. 10/10 would definitely come back again. "

"The property was very clean and modern decor. Breakfast was always fresh and had a good variety of food. The staff was extraordinary cordial amd friendly. Shout out to Lauren and Cameron! Great location to restaurants and things to do in Des Moines and surrounding area. Room rates were very affordable given all the amenities. Highly recommend!"

"It’s a decent property, room 218 was right next to the elevator, probably woke me up 4-5 times in the night, it was awful, everything else was okay…"

"We had a great stay here! Our room was very clean, staff were so friendly, and the breakfast is generous. We were bummed to miss the happy hour, but we did enjoy some free popcorn. Our only complaint is that the pool doesn’t open until 9am. Even 8am would be nice so guests can swim before hitting the road too late in the morning. "
