Featuring views of the private lake in Holiday Haven and easy access to the dock and swimming area. From the front deck you have views of the lake, the patio off the lower level features a 6 person hot tub, outdoor tv, and an indoor/outdoor bar area. Holiday Haven is a private community in Rockbridge, Ohio. Our cottage has two bedrooms and a full bath in the lower level, each with a queen bed. The main floor has a full bath, along with the living space and a fully stocked kitchen. From the living room you have windows and French door to enjoy the beautiful view of the lake. Off the front of the house is a large deck with an outdoor dining set. On the side of the house there is a patio with a 6 person hot tub, outdoor tv with seating, and a path leading to the firepit. In a door off the patio you will find a bar area that features seating, a sink and mini fridge. The windows above the bar counter open in to fully enjoy the whole space. FWD/AWD is recommended. Cell service is very limited in the area. Internet is provided, but can be slow and spotty at times. Streaming is not guaranteed. Due to the location, we do experience occasional outages out of our control. For the security of our guests and the safety of our home we will have an external security camera located by the front door facing the parking area. Then came the gatherings and parties down at the beach / swimming area, not to mention a few days worth of late night fireworks. There were several individuals doing donuts on 4wheelers all evening long. The quiet hours after 10pm does not exist. I would highly suggest that if you are going to advertise your house to look a certain way then it should be what we expect. There are no blankets in the house. It can get cold downstairs and you have these very thin bed covers on the beds. I am not sure if they even qualify as comforters. This is a six person max house, however your sitting area in the living room allows for four. The remote in the living room did not work due to no batteries. The fire pit only had two chairs (which were from the patio table on the deck) and two benches to sit on. If you're like me and like to relax around the fire, the benches were not comfortable for that. Please make sure to have blankets, everything works and maybe some window coverings for that early morning sun. Overall it wasn't bad. I just felt a little misled by the description and pictures. ##### Sara P. The roads where horrible, but it did rain a lot during our stay. Speaking of that. We really couldn't enjoy the porch or hot tub much because they are not covered. And right above the hot tub is a power line. That is kinda scary. They said the cabin was fully stocked and for the most part it was. But we had to go to the store many times to get things. So I will tell you what you need to bring. Because a store is 20-30 minutes away. They said to bring your own charcoal for the grill, but you Also need to bring a lighter. No batteries in TV remote. They have a washer and dryer but so not provide any laundry soap. They left us 4 k cups for 6 people for the week. So bring your own coffee also creamer and sugar. I am used to vacation homes providing all of these things so that was disappointing that we had to purchase all of those items. Had we known we would have packed them. Hopefully this helps someone else or they start providing all of this. ##### ANGELA J. The only downside was that the hot tub lacked privacy, as people could walk or drive by, which felt a bit awkward. My only recommendation would be to add a dish washer and blinds on the windows. There is not enough kitchen attire to accommodate a family making meals. There is no Tupperware for food storage, they barely provide enough dishes to serve a meal outside 1 of the 3 pot/pans you cooked it in. If you’re staying a few/several days you will want to bring Tupperware and dishes to prepare meals in. There were lots & lots of cob webs throughout the hom. Our bathroom hand soap was watered down! I went to use it and it literally sprayed all over my top! Under the couch and beds were debris/ dirt, m&m’s and chip crumbs from the last guests. The “bar” room off of the hot tub area was not even cleaned after previous guests. There was empty ice bags left in freezer, chips, straw wrappers and candy wrappers on floor, counter had dried drink spills and glass ring marks all over. The last group must of had a celebration there was confetti pieces all over the floor. The washer does NOT work. I am assuming because all the hoses are so jammed and kinked behind the washer/dryer in the very small laundry closet and the dryer vent is so pinched off that it vents into the house. Almost every kitchen chair was very wobbly, unfortunately we did not have an Allen wrench on us but we could hand tighten them so we could eat as a family at the table. Ceiling fan, exhaust fans pretty full of accumulated dust. The dvd player was broken along with the table top record player. The views were amazing and the pond was enjoyable. ##### Jenna C.
