Find hotels in Allex from CA $61

The best area to stay in Allex is within the village centre itself.

The village centre is quite compact and is built around the main square, Place de la Mairie, where you'll find the local boulangerie, a small shop, and the church. The streets are narrow and winding, typical of a historic French village, and many properties offer views of the surrounding countryside or the Drôme River. It's a peaceful spot, superb for those looking to experience authentic village life.

Couples looking for a relaxing escape will find the village centre particularly appealing. You can enjoy strolls through the quiet streets, sample local produce from the market, and dine at the village's restaurant. The pace of life here is slow, allowing for a truly unwinding holiday.

For families, staying slightly outside the immediate village centre, but still within a short walk or drive, can offer more space and amenities like private gardens or swimming pools.

The best time to go to Allex is during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant and the region's natural beauty is at its peak.

During late spring, the countryside around Allex comes alive with blooming flowers and lush greenery. The temperatures are comfortably mild, superb for exploring the local markets, enjoying outdoor activities like cycling along the Drôme River, or visiting nearby vineyards. It's a lovely time for couples to enjoy scenic drives and alfresco dining without the peak summer crowds.

Early autumn offers similarly agreeable weather, with warm days and cooler evenings. This period is particularly appealing for travellers interested in local produce and culinary experiences, as it coincides with harvest season. You'll find local specialities readily available, and it's an ideal time for food enthusiasts to explore the region's gastronomic delights.
