![Located in the trendy cosmopolitan suburb of Rosebank, Johannesburg.  The Monarch Hotel is well located and within walking distance of designer malls, restaurants, bars, nightlife, as well as the Gautrain station (which can take you to and from the airport in less than 20 minutes).
The hotel is very relaxed yet it has a sophisticated feeling of comfort and elegance.  The rooms/suites are very spacious and luxurious. They have an amazing breakfasts spread and the staff are very helpful and friendly.  This is truly a lovely place to stay in Johannesburg.

"Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing due to several maintenance and service issues. The bathroom sink was clogged, and I couldn’t even brush my teeth without the water backing up, which was extremely unpleasant. The shower head was also not functioning properly, making it difficult to have a proper shower. Additionally, I ordered wings as a snack, and they were quite poor in quality—definitely not what I expected. Overall, these issues significantly affected my experience. I hope the hotel addresses these concerns to improve future guest stays. "
