"FOUND Hotel Carlton at Nob Hill is a good budget option for those looking to stay near the center of San Francisco. You won't be getting anything fancy, but rather a basic hotel. Towels, shampoo, and conditioner were provided, but not much more in terms of "nice-to-have" amenities. The main issues I had heard about prior to staying were about the homelessness outside and the super thin walls. First of all, I was glad to see that my girlfriend and I had zero issues with safety inside or outside the hotel. There were essentially zero homeless people outside our hotel during our two-night stay. However, the walls in the hotel are indeed quite thin. We got very lucky to get a room completely in the corner, so I don't believe we had neighbors directly next to us, but I could still hear doors closing, beeping, or people talking several feet away, leaving me questioning whether people could hear us even from inside the room. The noise didn't impact my sleep, although the bed was a bit stiff and had me waking up early each day. The blankets are also pretty thin, but it wasn't too cold when I went. There is no room service until I believe the third day, which personally wasn't a big deal for me, but is worth knowing. The shower is nice and warm, and a TV is provided. Overall, if you want a super comfortable room with complete privacy, I would consider other options. But if you want a basic place to stay with great value, this is not a bad option."

"Came back about 10 days ago . And I’m already looking forward to visit again. The location of the hotel is great! 3 minute walk from the beach , pier 39 is a 3 min walk , the cove is 10 minutes walk . Lots of restaurants and shopping. The hotel is well maintained , very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is awesome and has everything you could ask for in breakfast buffet . Fresh and clean . The room is nice and clean .bedding is very comfortable . although the bathroom is maintained and very clean , it’s the only thing I didn’t like in the hotel .It’s very small and outdated . I really enjoyed my stay there and I will be going back !"

"The location was ok not great! The towels were not soft. Our faucet in the bathroom were not functioning properly. It only had one temperature setting. I expected a more modern hotel. It needs to be updated for sure!! We had a King room with a view and there wasnt any view since we only saw the corner of two streets! I am not sure how this hotel had such high ratings. I would have expected it to be more modern!! Since the amenities were old not sure if it clean or not!! The sprinklehead for the shower was good! I will not want to stay at a hotel like this again!!"

"Friendly staff. Pleasant fragrance in entrance and throughout the hotel. Clean property and rooms with beautiful marina view. Indoor heated pool area and fitness center was also nice. "

"Inhospitable female front desk name shaniii assigned a room for me this particular room is designed for a disabled person,next to ice machine maker and old elevator we’re making so much noises,I went to lobby and brought to her attention, she was rolling her eyes and loudly told me we are sold out , we don’t have rooms available to offer a quiet room. I did not sleep at all and this Hilton location staffs are not professional , room was dark , not enough light inside room and toilet,,I couldn’t use shower because deign for a disabled person with wheelchair. Very small room, no chair to sit down, iron was not working, looked like they have not used this room, no soap, very old towel, I have used Hilton world wide in Canada , Europe, USA , a motel 6 has better room . Staff and amitinties than this particular Hilton location, I noticed that they were not treating politely other guests who were traveling from different part of world."

"We love this hotel, it has restaurant, bar and mini cafe inside the hotel. Valet parking, clean & super friendly staff. We’ve stayed here about 15+ times. I will always recommend this hotel"
