Marukab Plaza picked us up from the airport in less than 30 minutes from booking, got us to our rooms in good time, and called a taxi service for us at 4am to Velana Int’l. "This island is perfect for family with kids. They have kids swim pool, kids water park, kids beach, out door playground, in door game room, in door kids activity room, kids spa, so kids can do many things there. Staffs are very nice and helpful. They provide golf cars as transportation on the island, so kids do not need to walk. Room is clear, in room dinning is good. Foods in 2 restaurants are good, especially the Italian. Buffet is about so so, average level. We stayed first couple days in a sunset pool suite, that's very save for young kids. My 6-year-old son can stand up in ocean from our back balcony stairs. Therefore, it's very safe when he's snorkeling. Last 2 days, we have chance to upgrade to sunrise pool suite. Perfect view! It's amazing! Ocean is much deeper, so there is more bigger fish, even stingray. But, I need to pay more attention with my younger one. Strongly recommend for family with kids. Very nice hotel!"

"We had an amazing time from landing at the airport. Well organised pickup and drop off service. On reaching the resort we were received by friendly host Laisha who took us on a tour of the property. Very polite and well spoken she gave us a detailed description of the amenities and services. The property is very well maintained considering its one of the first resorts in Maldives.Ranjith our house keeper was very meticulous, attended twice a day and replaced towels and water bottles. We had three elderly people and the buggy service was usually prompt. The catering Somnath and the rest were outstanding with live music which added to our wonderful experience. The waiters Tharun,Omkar, Salman were outstanding in their service. They made it a very memorable experience.Thank you🙏"
