"Hands down our favourite place in Tofino. The location is incredible, on a very quiet street, a few minutes walk from Chesterman Beach, and only five minutes drive into town. But the accommodation itself is a dream. Philip has thought of everything. The three bedrooms are light and huge, with very comfortable beds. There are three brand new bathrooms one on the ground floor, also an outdoor shower with warm water for after the beach and to rinse off your wetsuit. The kitchen has EVERYTHING you could want to cook with - pots pan, many dishes. And on top of all the lovely beachy design touches, we loved the hot tub after being at the beach, the huge gas bbq to cook dinners and the fire pit for making smores. There's also thoughtful practical details like an electric charger for the car and Philip was so nice when we had flat tires on our bikes and helped with the right pump attachment. This brand new home was truly a labor of love, and it really shows. We'll definitely try to book again. We had a magical week. "

"This was the first trip that my 70 yo parents, sister, brother-in-law, two young nephews, and I took together. This place was an absolute dream! Private location that was quiet and serene, with easy access to the shoreline. Spacious house that was clean and well-stocked.Loved that the kitchen cupboards and drawers were labelled, making navigation easy.Plenty of seating options available, with many options for entertainment.Comfortable rooms and beautiful views.And a hot tub!!Too many wonderful things to say about this place. "What a great experience we had at The Maq. The reception from Ivory was great (and so was the cocktail!) We were able to store our bicycles in a locked compound. The food in the Bear House Restaurant was wonderful. All in all, this is a great, funky place to stay. The entire staff were welcoming and friendly. "
