"This is a quirky place just off the promenade ,there are no staff at reception but an envelope with all details and actual keys to your room and front door.We could see the sea from the bay window and had a shared bathroom ,there are rooms with en suite but fully booked for our stay. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options,two cheerful girls cooking,no sign of the owners but it all worked smoothly ,also the eggs are from a local farm."

"Fabulous room ( Syfydrin ) facing the falls and the mountains. Bathroom was 'tight' but shower was excellent. We ate dinner at the hotel. Good atmosphere even mid-week in late September. Highly recommended esp if you are travelling in Mid Wales. The scenery close to this hotel is stunning."

"I'm glad that I stayed at The Castle Hotel finally. It was very pleasant! My room was spacious and had nice views out of the windows, the bed was comfortable, the staff were pleasant. It wasn't right in the middle of Aber, so it was quiet (minus the noise from the car racing - but I had a great view for it). Easy walk right down to the sea. The only drawback was not having a lift, but that is pretty common and my fault for having a heavy suitcase! I would definitely stay again."

"The hotel was clean, tidy, very modern. Staff member at reception was very polite, friendly and welcoming. Beds were comfy and bathroom was clean and tidy. We did not eat at the restaurant but it looked very nice and spacious. It is a little bit out of the town and about a 20-25min walk to the centre. There's a retail park opposite. I would definitely stay here again."

"All the staff I came across had a lovely helpful attitude. The room was basic, but that was what I paid for. Every where was clean. They have added double glazing inside the sash windows so although room was on the main high street it was super quiet - had a great night's sleep. Didn't have breakfast, but did have an evening meal which was OK nothing special."
