We had an enjoyable l one night stay at Gasthaus zum Bauernhof. The check in process was very unique in that your key is awaiting you but we did not see anyone who worked there until later. The beds were very comfortable, the room was spacious and we appreciated the adjoining rooms our family shared. Good hotel and only a few years old in a nice Location right on bus route, about 15 minutes to central Basel. Some restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Breakfast very good selection and limited food selection at their lounge for lunch/dinner. Microwaves available in common area for use. No fridge in room but there is a coffee station in room. Quiet, friendly, clean, a nice lounge with complimentary glass of wine, short walk to attractions, easy to get to (one stop on #30 bus from bannhof sbb), a printed copy of the booking lets you ride in from airport on the bus and the complimentary mobility pass gives free public transit. Exceeded expectations for a reasonably priced hotel and better than a lot of expensive ones.

One of the best places to stay in Zurich. The accommodation was huge, beyond expectations. The staffs were exceptionally welcoming, friendly, & supportive. We had a great experience staying there.

This hotel was lovely with a beautifully covered terrasse. The room was a good size and very comfortable with a complete set of amenities. The only drawback was that there was no air condition. The 3 days we spent in Basel were very hot (36 to 38 celsius), so although a ventilator was provided it was very a bit difficult at time. The breakfast buffet was excellent and price wise it was worth it to book it ahead of time. The hotel was well situated close to restaurants and to the old town.
