"We had an enjoyable l one night stay at Gasthaus zum Bauernhof. The check in process was very unique in that your key is awaiting you but we did not see anyone who worked there until later. The beds were very comfortable, the room was spacious and we appreciated the adjoining rooms our family shared. We were tired so we did not choose to eat at the restaurant, but it the food smelled wonderful. Found a grocery store for some picnic items instead. Spoke to the owner/manager and were made to...

The history and charm of the Chateau could quickly be felt upon arrival and did not disappoint for the rest of our stay! Only downside was no robes in room and my room was missing a coffee pot-our friends had both items in their room so probably a fluke! "

"This hotel is a magical dream. The staff is incredibly kind and very professional. The decor is so special and the views in all directions are wonderful. The cows with bells in the pasture next to us was a beautiful sound.This is one of the most memorable hotel stays I’ve ever had. "very nice property. villa favorita is the most economy option in the hotel. rooms are nicely appointed, but quite dated - Fotos look too nice, beautiful, very large property, very nice spa, pool and exercise facility, breakfast is nice - buffet and space - weird how there is no direct way to outside. free bikes, however, they are in desperate need of service or replacement. overall very nice stay in beatiful ascona/locarno area"

"The hotel needs some general maintenance and cleaning to bring it back into shape. When the staff is there, they are very friendly but it is largely un attended. The hotel is very quaint and has a lot of picturesque places. Great breakfast and fun breakfast host. "

"Staying with Fred was just what we needed for our city break, the room and location was always clean and tidy, no fuss or bother and the staff were ALL truly excellent and that goes for the reception team, breakfast crew even the cleaners were happy positive and were a joy to chat with.
