"The staff was amazing- excellent customer service. From front desk, to spa, to house keeping, to waiters, to porters- wonderful interactions. Breakfast was great- loved the omelettes. It was clear that pastries were a day or two old at times and butter tasted like fridge once. That is ok. The view from the breakfast room looked wonderful but it’s really just of the soccer stadium (see photo attached). Unfortunately the room description was very misleading. Our view was a sliver of the Bosphorus....

"We had a garden room initially, but the walls were very thin and not sound proof, so we asked to be moved into the hotel and it was far nicer, modern, sound proof and clean. The staff were very helpful moving us. The car parking was a bit frustrating - we were told that the car parking would be included in the bill when we checked out, but when we drove to leave, we were told it hadn’t been paid - seemed to be a lack of communication more than anything. "This is the second Barceló hotel we have stayed in this year, the other one at Marrakech. This one is Istanbul is also excellent, friendly attentive staff, central location but not too near the noise of Taksim Square. We were upgraded to deluxe room over looking the city scape. Taksim Square is couple of minutes walk with the buzz and access to trams and streets for shopaholics and restaurants. You can easily walk to the Karakoy and across the Galata Bridge to the old town area of Istanbul...
