"Excellent spot."
Was very close to the trolleys, or just walking around. Staff was great. Took the time to answer our questions and find areas on the map for us.

"Great location. Convenient to union square option"
Staff is excellent. Restaurant next door is very nice. Brought pizza back to hotel and ate next to pool area at hotel. Expensive but not as high priced as other hotels in immediate area for the quality, friendly, cleanliness it provides.

"Nice older hotel for the price but out of the way."
We got a great deal on this hotel so it was good for the money. It was not very close to restaurants or shopping. The restaurant across the street was great for breakfast. The concierge was not very helpful or enthusiastic.

King George Hotel - Union Square

334 Mason At Geary, San Francisco - Map
"Was expecting more"
I stayed at king george for 3 nights and 4 days. No continental breakfast which is pretty much standard these days even for 2 star hotels. Rooms are small and I dont think the bed was queen size as described for the room I got. I have a queen bed at home and the bed at king george was noticeably smaller. I would look for other accomodations next time I went to san francisco

"Taking Daughter to College Trip"
We found this hotel on the University of San Francisco's web site as one of their hotels they have an arrangement with, close to campus and we used as we moved our freshman into the dorm. Would definitely stay again. The rooms were great, and the neighborhood is fun with tons of places to eat.

Kensington Park Hotel

"Great central location "
The hotel was great but unfortunately the room we were allocated was tiny - inadequate really for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Not even room for our suitcases which had to be piled on top of each other making access really difficult. It was also noisy - phones ringing in nearby rooms in the early hours so we left feeling very tired. Disappointing because it's a lovely hotel in a great location and we've stayed before and had no complaints. Valet parking is still great !!

Rating: 3.5 Stars

Hotel Abri - Union Square

127 Ellis Street, San Francisco - Map
"Loved every bit of this property!"
Besides its fantastic location (around the corner from Powell Bart/Muni) in the heart of Union Square, Hotel Abri not only met but exceeded my expectations in every way! From the friendly valet/doorperson to the efficiency and courteous front desk staff (especially Christy and a very nice gentleman whose name began with a "J", sorry bad memory!) to the amazing housekeeping staff who greeted me with a smile and "hello" whenever we ran into each other in the hallway...I was truly impressed with the property and employees at this luxury boutique. Having worked in high-end luxury hotels, exceptional service rings true to my heart. You give respect to receive respect, and I was treated with the utmost professionalism at Abri. Being a gold status Expedia member, I was given a complimentary upgrade to an Urban Suite, which was a fantastic treat. I was also presented with a complimentary bottle of sparkling Rose, some Voss waters (my favorite!) and other treats. The room was impeccable and clean, amenities were well-provided, the bed SOOO comfy, and I participated in their green efforts (elect to not have your room cleaned and you can receive a $5 Starbucks gift card or Ghirardelli chocolates per night -- I usually never need housekeeping services anyway, so this was a great added bonus). The modern lobby offers Ipads for boarding pass check-in and web surfing, a great fireplace to keep warm on those chilly SF nights, and full-service concierge service...Abri is truly a hidden gem!

You can’t visit San Francisco without trying the city’s legendary clam chowder.

Get your hands on some of this chowder at Fisherman’s Wharf. Located at the northern point of the waterfront area, Fisherman’s Wharf is home to many of the city’s fishing boats. This is the place to get mouthwatering seafood, whether it’s the long sought-after clam chowder in a bread bowl or Dungeness crab and fresh-caught fish. Fisherman’s Wharf is right near the San Francisco Maritime Museum, so walk off some of those calories you just ingested by strolling among the exhibits and museum ships stationed there. Learn about the Age of Sail by touring the tall ships Balclutha and C.A. Thayer, or explore the cramped quarters of the USS Pampanito, a sub that served in World War II.

Get some rest and relaxation in your San Francisco 3-star hotel before going out into the big city again. Reserve a hotel near the wharf area, so you can enjoy everything the waterfront has to offer without memorizing the routes of BART, the city’s transit system. Staying near Fisherman’s Wharf means you’re only about 3.5 km from the baseball stadium, where you can watch the San Francisco Giants play from April through October.

No matter what time of year you decide to visit, you’ll get the cheapest hotel deals through We’ll find you the top accommodations at hotels in San Francisco, whether you’re staying overnight or are looking to make this an extended trip. Relax and enjoy the City by the Bay without emptying your savings account to pay for it.
