![Telegraph Cove was established in 1912 as old sawmill town that had deteriorated to the point where everything had to be restored and rebuilt. Today, an eight hundred foot long boardwalk and dock surround the old village. Telegraph Cove is tucked away on the eastern coast of Northern Vancouver Island. This tiny picturesque and historical village is a major destination during the summer months when the snug little bay bustles with whale watchers, fishermen, boaters, campers and kayakers. Telegraph Cove has a rich and colourful past and is one of the last boardwalk settlements left on Vancouver Island. The Resort at the village has a large variety of accommodations from cozy cabins and historic homes to modern condominium suites. (September 2019)

« Un peu bancale dans les chambres l'hotel n'est pas bien insonorisé, pour autant il est très calme donc pas de soucis. Le gril restaurant est fermé les dimanches et lundis et c'est indiqué nulle part, ni sur Google ni sur le site internet de l'hotel. C'est vraiment dommageable car il n'y a pas beaucoup de possibilites de dîner a cette époque. Les petits dejeuners sont corrects sans plus. Ce ne sera pasmon meilleur souvenir en Colombie Britanique »

« Sointula is a photographer's paradise! My only regret is that we only stayed for one night. Our room had a water view that you could watch all day long. The beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly and courteous. There is a kitchen that guests can use to prepare their own food. The water in the hotel is very soft and drinkable. We are hoping to return again, this time staying for a few days of rest and relaxation! »
