"We came to Zen and Pine Resort to hike Mt. Yushan. Although that wasn’t possible due to road closure, on the manager’s advice, we instead visited nearby Sun Moon Lake and hiked Mt. Shuishe, which was amazing and rescued our whole trip. I can’t say enough good things about the management of this property. "The hotel has a very convenient location, making it easy to get around, take boat rides, and find places to eat nearby. Even on a rainy day, it didn’t affect our travel plans at all. I especially enjoyed the breakfast on the 8th floor,it was a great way to start the day. The umbrellas provided by the hotel were also very thoughtful and useful during the rainy weather. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay, and I would happily recommend this hotel to others."

"Upon drop-off by taxi, staff members from concierge obtain our luggage and delivered to lobby. Another staff member escorted us to receptionist/lobby area. Wonderful coordination. We were served fresh tea and a warm towel to refresh in the sweltering heat. There were also staff members in front of elevators to get them ready for us. Already we know the stay was worth it! The rooms are clean, we had a balcony and in-room hot mineral spring bath. So refreshing! On the bottom floor had a children's area, family entertainment room, water pool play area, and a separate men/ women hot springs. We enjoyed delicious breakfast every morning and the servers/cooks/ table attendees were wonderful and helpful such as getting baby high chair. Fun things to do evening time when Shuishe/Ita Thao closed was free entertainment different shows each night. Very pleasant! We took advantage of free shuttle and bus ticket ride to explore Sun Moon Lake. We will be back! Thank you for making my birthday memorable!"

"We stayed in double queen room with lake view and balcony. The Lakeview was AMAZING! Breakfast in the morning was good with plenty of options for omnivores and vegetarians. The only unexpected thing was there was no shower curtain in the shower and a window next to the shower had a glass window covered with a pull down blind. I highly recommend a room with a lake view."

"There are multiple buildings in this property, all require a bit of walking. Make sure that you don't carry a heavy suitcase. As the property is built along the mountains, some walkways can be difficult with heavy luggage. Yet, the friendly staff will drop off the luggage as close to the buildings as possible. There is no restaurant close by but the property offers hotpot dinner (one person per pot) which is pretty good, big portion too. Since the property is deep in the mountain, I would recommend aim at arriving the property before dark. Close to the property (about 20 min walk), there is a trail that leads to a spot where sunrise can be viewed. However, the signs are not that clear. Clarify with the staff the night before you go. All in all, this hotel is good, room is clean with good mountain view."
