"Excellent Hotel"
My son and I were in Washington DC looking at colleges. The Ritz was in close proximity to both George Washington University and Georgetown University and the hotel offered us a very pleasant, hassle free stay. The hotel is beautiful, elegant, in a good clean neighborhood, low key, quiet, with nice guests and equally nice, but low key staff. There are a lot of restaurants around; Georgetown is close by; GW 5 blocks away. It was the kind of experience that I like in hotels -- smooth, pleasant, comfortable, nothing went wrong. We had good nights of sleep and delicious food in the hotel and all around.

"Best Hotel I have ever stayed in."
For my 27th Birthday I was planning a proposal to my Girlfriend.. I called guest services and told them my plans and they further assisted me in getting me a room with a view of my request. We had dinner at CityZen in the hotel and the food was amazing. Guest services provided me with the reservations and even with my request, set up our room with rose petals and a bottle of champaign. I would to thank everybody at the Mandarin Oriental, for their perticipation in making one of the biggest nights of both mine and my new fiance's lifes a success! Valet services where awesome, they brought something I needed from my car all the way up to our room. The Hotel is beautiful and has beautiful views. I am beyond pleased with the stay and would recommend this to everybody for any occasion. Thank you all again for the outstanding night, it will never be forgotten. 5 out of 5 stars!

"Uptown Girl"
I have stayed here numerous times and the experience is always excellent. The hotel is at your service for anything you need and the staff is top notch! The suites are very nice and quiet assuring any weary traveler a good nights rest. The location is fabulous right at the foot of Georgetown's shopping district and walkable to the University.

"Gaylord Resort Hotel, National Harbor, MD near D.C"
The hotel look and feel is excellent. Room prices are very high, but service is great. They were short staffed during the March 16-17 snow storm, so rooms were not made up each day and wait staff was scarce in restaurants. I have to commend the concierge staff for what they did. After going to all of the Gaylord restaurants and not finding any cheesecake or pie -- especially apple pie -- on the menu (but they did have unusual sweets such as poached cumquats for whoever may like them) I mentioned it to two ladies at the concierge desk. Within an hour they appeared at my hotel room door with one-third of a warm and unique apple pie from McCormick's (a local bakery) with vanilla ice cream and six large assorted cookies -- without any charge! I was blown away that they would do this at all, much less in cold and snowy weather where they had to walk several blocks to get the desserts. The doorman was exceptional. He could answer everything I wanted to know about the town and even told me which was the best price for a hotel to DCA Reagan Airport shuttle. Unlike most hotels, the Gaylord charges $18.00 for a one-way trip to the airport. Limousine services are available for much less per person (about $10), while taxi cost $25 to $30 for a one-way trip. This is a fabulous place for conventions with large, spacious halls and meeting rooms and amenities that you would find only in the very best convention centers within inner cities.

"Modern and Chic"
The hotel is beautiful, and great location. Very pricey parking and bar prices. But overall I love it. Aside from the fact that I KNOW FOR A FACT that I left a wallet with money, credit cards and ID in my room and called to tell them, only to be told that all I left was a scarf, the whole weekend wouldve been perfect. With the price you pay for such a nice hotel, they should be able to have a more honest cleaning staff
