“Washington DC”
A very nice historic hotel. The room was small but comfortable. The staff were very helpful. It was close to the Washington Mall and other historic sites. It is 3 blocks from the Metro Center so that made it easy to get around town.
“Location and an excellent restaurant”
Excellent location near the Congress Center. Other points of interest are close. Historical hotel with an very good restaurant (perhaps a little beat overpriced) and friendly service.
“Nice small hoel”
Excellent small hotel in Europen style. Rooms small but comfortable.
“I was walked to the Washington Plaza Hotel”
I paid in advance and then arrived only to find I was walked. So much for a nice stay at the Morrison Clark.
“Good Character”
This was our first visit to DC and love the location and charm of the hotel. It was a reasonable price and would recommend this hotel to friends.
“Fantastic Historical Hotel”
This hotel is in a great location! The property is really pretty and the rooms are unique with its historical feel. The room and bathroom were clean and nice. I'm a room snob and I would most certainly recommend this hotel!
“Wonderful hotel”
The hotel was clean and quiet. The staff was most helpful and very polite. It was within walking distance of the National Mall. The breakfast was very good. The veranda was a wonderful place to sit and read or relax.
“A Terrific Experience”
This cozy and really beautiful hotel offered the finest service I've ever experienced. It's located less then 10 minutes from the convention center where my meetings took place in the heart of downtown ($6 taxi ride). It's also a 15 minute walk from Thomas Circle where there's excellent dining (I ate at Thai Titanic, delicious and inexpensive) and jazz bars (I highly recommend HR57 on 14th Street). Of course I wouldn't have know about these places if it weren't for the night manager on duty who recommended them to me- very nice person. Overall this hotel is extra clean, extra comfortable, extra convenient, with extra gracious employees and the price is seriously affordable. I will definitely stay there again the next time I'm in D.C.
“Washington Weekend”
I recommend staying at the Morrison Clark - the staff was very informative and the hotel has old world charm. Rooms are a little small but very comfortable for the weekend. Good breakfast also.
“Solid hotel in a good location!”
I really enjoyed my experience with Morrison Clark. I called early the day of check-in and they informed me I probably wouldn't be able to check in early, but that they could accomodate my bags while I explored DC with my girlfriend for the day. When I showed up they already had the room ready for me though, and I loved the room. Quaint and not too small, a nice desk and armoire, a comfortable bed and a big and clean bathroom. Nice views from the window as well. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the doorman even came out into the street to take pictures of me and my girlfriend by the hotel. I got the hotel at a discounted rate so for what I paid, it was an awesome deal. If you're visiting from out of town to see DC and are planning on walking a lot, this is a great distance to all the sights as well as shopping and stuff like that too. I'll be looking to stay here again the next time I come to DC.
