Honestly when pulling up and thought I made a mistake. The owners should really consider investing in the exterior look of the hotel. Decided to walk in and was pleasantly surprised, hotel was super clean and comfortable. Would stay again.
Great morning buffet w wide variety of selections. Fresh fruits needed berries. None were included.
Bathroom remodeled sink area was cramped.
Car valet parking was costly for three day stay.
Concierge was very helpful finding outstanding but pricey surf & turf restaurant.
Good location few blocks from Capitol but still too far for seniors to walk on hot spring days.
A quick ride from airport (DCA) a nice perk. Front staff although very nice to speak with were not good on following through on commitments (luggage arrival, diner reservation etc). Hotel is beautiful, housekeeping staff are so sweet. There is t much but corp offices just outside hotel, i would skip the Starbucks across the street poor service twice.
Checked in on Thursday night so we could take a cab to hospital early on the morning. Gary at the front desk was very friendly. Room was great. Clean. Quiet. Comfy. Only disappointment was that hockey wasn't on TV (Direct TV) but I got the game on my iPad with free WiFi. Second time we stayed here for same purpose.
Friday morning, we checked out and had them hold our bags and we asked the bell hop to hail us a cab. There was a limo there and he took us for 1/2 the price of a cab ride. Daughter's procedure didn't go well. Doc didn't want us leaving DC. Hubby called and explained the situation. Got another room for half the price. At discharged, hubby called 3 cab companies for almost an hour with no response. I said call the hotel. They sent a driver who was cheaper than a cab. Gary was at the front desk again. He grabbed our bags from holding and instead of waiting for the bellman, he grabbed them and a couple of waters and helped us get our daughter to the room. She could barely walk. Clean. Quiet. Comfy. CVS is across the street so we could get meds. Harris Teeter is next door so we could get dinner. Major food allergies and can't just order out for daughter. Hockey on my iPad. Very happy. Saturday morning, daughter got up and was in very poor shape. Had to get her back to the hospital. We had no way to get her down to the lobby except by using the desk chair-which we did. Got her downstairs. Three gentleman helped us get a cab and get her outside.

Lawmakers handle the nation’s business at the US Capitol, where Freedom peers across the land atop her perch on the rotunda. Many members of Congress live in the brick row houses near the Capitol complex. Across the street, the Supreme Court—the third branch of government—interprets the law. Nearby, the restored Union Station is a transit terminal and dining hotspot.
