We arrived at precisely 3:00, the earliest check-in time, and our room was ready. Staff couldn't have been more polite and helpful. Room was extremely clean and well maintained. Breakfasts were very good. Much better than expected after reading some other reviews. Maid was very helpful and friendly. Everyone seemed to go out of their way to ensure our stay was a positive and pleasant one. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in this area. Not far from any of the main attractions and within walking distance if you are healthy enough. If a taxi is needed, it shouldn't cost that much since everything is relatively close. I will not hesitate to book here again.
Great Hotel and location, we did not drive or take any transportation for 3 days. The beds were comfortable and I would stay here again, especially if I could get a room not facing the RR unless you need to get up by 0530 hrs. The experience would have been perfect had it not been for the train (every 30 minutes) but that is not the hotels fault.
From the moment we checked into the Hilton Garden Inn our vacation was great. Our room was ready when we arrived early. The staff was very nice, our room was clean and we had no problem getting extra towels. The hotel has a really good restaurant on-site and is within walking distance of union station. I do wish there were more restaurants in walking distance, but the cab only cost $10 to some good restaurants. I will recommend this location to friends and family.

Lawmakers handle the nation’s business at the US Capitol, where Freedom peers across the land atop her perch on the rotunda. Many members of Congress live in the brick row houses near the Capitol complex. Across the street, the Supreme Court—the third branch of government—interprets the law. Nearby, the restored Union Station is a transit terminal and dining hotspot.
