“Nice hotel- We will stay again.”

The Hotel Staff was great. We reserved a single king room and really needed 2 beds- they offered to switch us at the same rate. We had good veiw towards Lake Union and the Space Needle; the room was clean, and the climate control worked well. We really enjoyed the nice 40-42" LCD TV and DVD player after a day of driving. What a great hotel near downtown for 1/2 the price of most others.

“My favorite place to stay in the U district”

Stayed here several times and have never been disappointed, clean rooms, friendly staff, cool art-deco style.. It's solid.

“Would return”

I stayed here recently when I saw a concert at the Neptune Theatre across the street. I had low expectations for this hotel, but was delighted at every turn.

“OK Experience”

Hotel offered free shuttle service downtown, with pickup. However the shuttle did not arrive at the agreed-upon time. Multiple calls to the hotel to find out what was going on went unanswered. Turns out there was no evening shuttle and the desk clerk was too swamped to answer the phone. NOTE: The hotel DID apologize, refunded the taxi fare, and gave us free breakfast.

“Good Hotel, but not excellent.”

Hotel is charging parking fees. I had hard time to adjust temprature of hot water. Bath Room might need update.

“A great stay!”

I chose the hotel based on proximity to the University. It was close and convenient with a large number of dining possibilities. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff members I dealt with were very pleasant and helpful in meeting my needs.

“Not impressed”

We booked a superior room online. When we arrived, we were placed in a much smaller room. After complaining, the manager said they would investigate. What we received were apologies for their overbooking, free parking and two free breakfasts. All I wanted was the room we reserved. The hotel staff tried to upgrade the people in front of us checking in. Obviously, reservations mean nothing. We won't stay there again.

“Great Location!”

Hotel Deca is very conveniently located for most of the activities we do in Seattle. The view from our room was fantastic! It was worth the extra dollars to spring for a higher floor. The cost was reasonable for what was provided. I have no complaints.

Area recommendations
I used to live in Seattle, and I find many of the neighborhoods very appealing. I most liked living in Wallingford, but I also liked the area around Green Lake. Ravenna is also quite nice. Queen Anne is very pretty but the traffic problems overwhelm its appeal.
When to go
We have always visited in summer because the weather tends to be better. We particularly like hiking in the mountains, so August and September are more predictable. However, we visited this year in October, and were amazed at the dazzling colors of the trees in the city.

“great hotel great heathy food”

We where so surprised of the quality of this hotel, it is so cheap that we didn't have any expectation. The grass fed beef, the organic chiken at the restaurant was so amazing to find for us! The beds in the room beeing so comfy and the rooms so spacious for the price. We want to go back to Seatle for a longer stay next time (we only had a 2 days stay).
