“Great first visit!!!!”
Spectacular hotel, especially at Christmas time!
“A classic among the Seattle Hotels”
Great hotel and excellent location, and a wonderful team servicing it! Breakfast however was not particularly good...the only caveat, neither the buffet nor the dishes we ordered (and paid for both...).
“Absolutely superb!”
From the fine dining, very helpful staff, to the excellent gym, swimming pool, hot tub with glass windows surrounding, everything was excellent. The room was very spacious and very elegant. Shuckers oyster bar was great. The downtown location is perfect and walking was great.
“My favorite Seattle hotel”
Excellent Service. Quiet. Very nice room
“Seattle's Best”
The Fairmont Hotel is beautiful and centrally located. The bedding is wonderful and therefore a good night's sleep was had by all!
“Seattle's Best!”
My girlfriend and I recently stayed at the Fairmont Olympic for a nice 3-night girls weekend. We had an amazing time and really enjoyed this hotel. Not only is the hotel itself lovely, the service is amazing. When we walked outside to take a cab to our restaurant on the first evening of our stay, we were offered the hotel's car service, which was a beautiful Jaquar! This lovely car service was available for our spa the next day and dinner the following evening. Definitely, another highlight of our trip. I will be staying at the Fairmont Olympic every time I am in Seattle.
“Not a 5 Star Hotel!!!”
This hotel is one of Seattle's oldest, and it shows. If you wanted to go stay at grandma's house with the dated wallpaper, furniture, carpet, etc... then this is your spot. We stayed in a deluxe suite w/ king bed, room was hot the whole time even with thermos set at 55 degrees. The overall decor is 1950s, wallpaper was curling up from wall because it was no doubtingly applied in 1950. Water pressure was good, but the bathroom felt nasty just from its dated appearance. The same is said for the room, sure it was clean but when you feel like you're back in Stonehenge you just don't feel right. The room had a tiny mini fridge that was full of beverages you could purchase for small fortune. All this wouldn't have matter if I didn't think i was staying at a 5 star luxury hotel. But alas, that was what i was lead to believe. Also, our "suite" was on the 7th floor looking somewhat out towards the water. The street noise was very noticeable, sirens horns etc all hours of the night. That would be expected from an outdated insulation system. PS. They charged $1.69 per local call and the wifi cost $$$ too. Seriously, we are charged for local phone calls??? How is it every single Starbucks in the city has free wifi but this "5 star hotel" charges you? So imo, don't stay here. Staff was fine, accommodations not so much.
“Loved it!”
Wonderfully appointed room, very comfortable and the service was terrific. Excellent food in the hotel and nearby. I highly recommend The Fairmont.
“Hidden disappointments”
The Fairmount delivers yet also hides a few key factors. .01 a $30 parking fee for overnight parking is not included - not fun when staying the whole week and getting an additional bill for $160+ // You have to make a $100 a day deposit for use of Bar or extras so a week stay will cost you a charge of $500 that would be returned at the end of the week. Luckily after I let my rage out to the staff the manager only charged me $200 for the week however that was a major inconvenience... Be mindful when staying at any hotel with taxes and additional fees.
“overall satisfactory indeed”
I'll go back again
