“A Gem”
I've stayed many places in the French Quarter but this was my first at the Hotel St. Pierre. Loved it! The staff was so nice and friendly. If you love immersing yourself in history and charm then stay here!
“Awesome”
Quaint hotel with great local staff. Something different!
“Full of Historic Charm”
We stayed for a girls getaway...We were hoping for a place that had that Old New Orleans feel and were not at all disappointed. Despite the fact that the hotel is in housed in several very old structures, we were pleased with the condition of our room and surprised at the updates it the bathroom. Don't expect extreme updates and luxury...go to one of the new 5 stars for that. If you like atmosphere and don't need a ton of extras this place may work well for you too.
“Hotel St Pierre in NOLA”
The hotel is quaint & the staff helpful & very friendly. Location is great. I would recommend it & stay there again.
“Budget friendly trip through history!”
This hotel is a taste of the real New Orleans. It consists of several relocated historical buildings - mostly related to the jazz era - that sit behind a walled courtyard. The rooms are named for historical jazz artists. The whole hotel serves as a living jazz museum. If you are looking for modern five star amenities, this is not the hotel for you. The word "historical" is exactly that - meaning that a lot of the bathroom fixtures are quite old - but they work. While some of the porcelain is stained, it IS clean. The furnishing is tasteful and to period. Considering that New Orleans is STILL suffering from Katrina's aftermath, this hotel has done a great job staying afloat. While staffing is down as a result, the staff that is present is absolutely wonderful and very helpful. Continental breakfast is still not available, as a result - however, the front desk keeps a book of menus for restaurants that deliver. Besides, you are in walking distance of everywhere, and taxi cabs are quite reasonable. Taxi cab wait is less than 5 minutes, if the desk orders one for you. There are adjoining rooms and suites as well. the courtyards are a nice place to unwind. I highly recommend this hotel to the non-snobby traveler looking to experience the real New Orleans.
“New Orleans' charm”
The hotel staff are extremely helpful. The two small pools are pleasantly situated and nice to sit around as well as to cool off in. The lobby is comfortable as is the 'breakfast room'.
“Will Return to this Hotel”
Hotel was clean. Hotel was QUIET. Hotel was a short walk to the lively Bourbon Street. This was a very historic hotel.
“thoroughly enjoyable”
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. We stayed an extra two days.
“Great Hotel, Great Location... Can't wait to return!”
This is a very nice historic hotel that is just two-three blocks away from all of the action in the Quarter. Even though it's old, it's still very clean. Bathroom was very clean and service was very friendly. I honestly didn't know what to expect for the age and the price... but I'd definately stay again. The pools are small and in the courtyards, but perfect for relaxing before you head out on Bourbon.
“Charming and Family Friendly”
This was my third stay at the Hotel St. Pierre with my husband and young kids. The hotel is a beautiful collection of historic New Orleans buildings clustered around secluded courtyards. There is a convenient breakfast room where we were able store stacks and drinks in the fridge and warm up stuff in the microwave. The location is perfect: right in the French Quarter but on a quiet residential street. The staff is friendly and helpful. We went a little later in the year this time (late May) and had a room which opened onto one of the beautiful courtyard pools. Although the room was a bit smaller than others we have had, it was fine, and the kids really enjoyed the pool. It was also lovely being able to put them to bed after dinner and sit outside with a glass of wine!
