“A beacon in the wilderness”
Unfortunatley New Orleans is quite a filthy town with apprently few redeeming features, however, this has not stopped Harrahs from putting up a world class hotel in the Las Vegas style with all the amenities one would expect of a high class hotel and with great service and friendly staff. I would recommend the King Suite with a view of the river as the other side of the hotel faces a quite depressing view of a rotting city warts and all.
“Convenient to everything”
This hotel is one of best especially if you like to gamble. The decor of the room was great and the bathroom had marble finish and very spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the convenience of the casino, and the riverwalk was only a block away as well as restaurants. The hotel is on the American side of Canal St. and all you have to do is cross the street and you are on the French side headed to the French Quarters. I would definitely go back.
“Awesome Experience!!!”
If you want great customer service and a clean room, Harrah's is the place! All the staff is extremely helpful and courteous!!! Great location for different places to eat also. I will only stay there the next time I'm in New Orleans!
“Great place to stay”
The hotel was fantastic. Every person we encountered was nice, professional and courteous. The room was very clean, cool and ready when we checked in slightly early. Even valet was friendly and helpful. Besh Steakhouse in casino was top of the line, buffet in casino was greatnfor breakfast.

Excellent hotel. Clean, comfortable, pleasant staff, great location. The facilities are excellent. I'd book again without a doubt!
“Great for a business trip”
I made a last-minute trip to NOLA during a major convention and was only able to secure a room at Harrah's. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and the room was very nice, clean, spacious and had high-speed internet.

The last time we visited New Orleans was the weekend before Hurricane Katrina; at that time, Harrah's did not have a hotel...just a casino. We were very pleased with their beautiful new hotel, connected via an underground tunnel to the casino. The hotel is beautifully done with marble floors, plus a greeter in the lobby. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is within walking distance of the French Quarter and downtown attractions. We would recommend it to anyone...very nice.
