“Great hotel!”
The Dauphine Orleans was a great hotel. Very well located, minutes from Bourbon Street, close to Riverfront & Canal Street. No need for a rental car for city highlights. I was amused to find that the hotel was formerly a brothel and that the bar area is allegedly haunted. We found no trace of ghosts!!! Would return to the Dauphine.
“A good time”
The Dauphine Orleans is comfortable enough - weakest link is breakfast, which ofers a lot of bread (bagels, toast, waffles, danish) but also included yogurt and fruit - pool is UNHEATED so we passed; all in all, a food deal.
“Perfect 4 Night Hotel Choice”
First NOLA trip and no regrets on this hotel at all! Staff friendly and helpful, great location and room very clean. Directly in the middle of french qtr but far enough from Bourbon Street to avoid a lot of the night-life. Received an upgraded room with a veranda and shocked at how quiet the room was even though faced a high-traffic street.
“Can't wait to go back”
We really enjoyed our one night stay at The Dauphine. Very comfortable. Convenient location. Nice breakfast bar and great coffee. The hotel has lots of character and the staff was friendly and helpful.
“Nice and well located hotel”
Near to Bourbon Street, excellent point in New Orleans.
“"Great New Orlean weekend stay"”
Great loacaion. Walking distance to Bourbon Street, Jackson Square, and French Market. Great clean room with staff very attentive. Would definately choose to stay here again.
“Can't wait to go back”
Was very fun. Lots of walking. Kind of expensive. Very good food. The people are so friendly and the tour guides are interesting to lisen to.
“Very nice one block from Bourbon Street”
Very nice hotel. We had a balcony which did overlook the street and was somewhat noisy at times. My kids (11 & 8) liked the pool which was somewhat cold (it was March after all so this shouldn't be a problem in a NOLA summer). The only problem was the addition charge for parking though the charge was once a day and in-and-out was allowed. We did a bayou tour which the hotel was able to arrange.
“Another GREAT stay in New Orleans”
Stayed at the Dauphine for the NFL season opened, Saints-Vikings. IT was very hot and humid in New Orleans, the AC in the motel was Excellent. Just 1 block away from Bourbon st, very close to the nightlife and restuarants. I have stayed at many hotels in the Quarter, and this ranks right there at the top.
“Thoroughly Enjoyed Our Stay”
We stayed 4 nights in the historic 'Dauphine Patio' across the street from the main hotel. The 2nd floor room was nicely appointed and we liked the memory foam bed which we have at home. The courtyard was lovely, lush palm trees, small fountain, cafe tables etc. Awoke to the sound of birds in the morning, one block from Bourbon St! Good basic variety at breakfast. Still work being done on hotel. All staff were friendly and helpful and the location couldn't have been better. For our short stay and first time to New Orleans, a car was not missed nor necessary. Music and restaurants just steps from our door and quiet and charming location when we returned. Can't wait to return.
