"We had the BEST stay at the "Blue Hawaii". My first Girls' Trip with family & friends. There were twelve of us and the house was big enough for all; plenty of room inside and outside to relax and converse. The beds were comfortable for sleep; home was clean inside and outdoors. Waking up to the beautiful sunrise every morning with a cup of coffee/ tea and chilling by our private pool with chilled wine during the evening sunsets - God's paradise indeed. 5 plus stars rating for sure. "The property was beautiful, clean and really spacious. We had a family of 15, with 2 infants and there was plenty of space for everyone. Lots of parking for our rentals. Contacting Tin and Linda was very easy. When we had any issues or questions, they responded pretty fast. Location of the property was perfect. It was close to essential grocery stores, gas stations and minutes away from the downtown area with restaurants. Highly recommend this property, especially if you have a huge family....

"Location and ocean view was FANTASTIC. While it's not a 5-star/ $1000 per night hotel, it has everything you would need/ expect from an excellent beach house. We were only a group of 2, but the house easily could accommodate 6 people. Great jumping off point to see sites on this side of the island (Hilo, Volcano, towns that existed a few years ago but then were taken by lava). Don't miss Uncle Robert's on Wednesday night with other locals. It was a great time. Also, the Lava Flow museum in Pahoa...

"My husband and 2 kids (ages 8 & 5) who live in Australia met up with my sister and cousins (who each had an infant) from the East Coast USA and stayed in this house together for a week. It was magical. The house was so well equipped for us, including lots of useful baby gear, beach toys, pool floaties, snorkel gear and more. "We loved the open floor plan and all of the space at the house. The kitchen was big enough for five of us to work in at once! We enjoyed the hot tub, even during the rain. The location is excellent. It was easy to find, which isn't always the case in Volcano. It's very close to the park. We have already recommended it to friends and would definitely stay again."

We loved being able to hang out in the several lounging spots at the house, being able to walk the beach and tidepools directly in front of the home and easily walk to town. "This cute apartment reminds me of my grandma’s place. Apartment is older, but it has everything that you need in there. It is walking distance to a small bay where you can snorkeling with beautiful fishes. There is a fruit stand right outside where you can get local fruits. Kay, the owner is super nice and friendly. The only down side is the apartment is on second floor and can get pretty warm in summer time. We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed the stay. "

"We had a fantastic stay at the Rainforest Cottage. The property was extremely clean and very private. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed and there was a large supply of items for use on day excursions (coolers, snorkeling gear, etc). "I can’t overstate how well the Hali’i Kai was appointed. Every appliance you could want including a rice cooker! The pantry was stocked with lots of seasonings. I highly recommend you check in before going shopping as most of what you need is already provided. Weber grill on the private deck made cooking there a joy. In addition there was a large closet full of beach equipment including half a dozen Maui Jim beach chairs. Beach umbrellas and snorkel gear rounded out all we needed for beach...
