"The camping village was super cute! There are two restaurants on property, however we were there on Easter sunday and they were both closed. There must have been some miscommunication since the lady at the front desk told us they were open. However, she was super nice and friendly and got us a ride into town when we told her we weren’t able to go to the restaurants on site. "Very simple accommodation, check in restricted to 3-5pm (after which it closes) and zero WiFi signal. Bathroom was very basic and we had to put the sheets on ourselves. At the end of the stay they had to be removed, everything washed up and rubbish taken away. I'm not against this concept, but not for 700kr a night, out of season. This also wasn't made obvious when booking. For an extra 200-300kr you can stay in a decent hotel, including breakfast which made this very poor value in comparison....

"New rooms, well equipped and clean. Our only problem was the heat in the cabin, at 25-27 degrees outside it was unbearably warm inside and very difficult to sleep well at night unless we left our door open all night. The window only opened 10cm. That was the only issue"

"We stayed in a Wild West themed cabin that slept 4 people in 2 sets of bunk beds. We were warm and cosy on both nights of our stay. The cabin was spotless clean and had everything we needed. You hire linen for the bed for about £10 I think. Excellent location to walk to LEGOLAND and a bit of a further walk to LEGO House. Great place to stay. Breakfast was good. "

"We stayed in one of the chalets for 3 night and enjoyed our stay very much! It was comfortable, clean and warm with a nice view of the lake. Staff were friendly - we had a kitchen tap broken and it was checked right away and fixed the next day. We would consider staying again in the future."

"Yes, this place is unique in a few ways. Unique and different from a North American perspective perhaps. From the Expedia/Website images its uniqueness was what drew us to the property in the first place. From the homes design (interior and exterior) to the amenities and layout of the accommodation site. We definitely enjoyed our stay here despite the distance from central Amsterdam and sites. "The front desk staff is incredibly helpful and the location of the cabins are a short walk from downtown via a lovely sculpture garden as well as from all things Lego which is why we chose this spot. It's definitely a bit rustic but great for families with kids as it has lots of playgrounds and green space. The buffet style food at the facilities is also great. The only negative was that there were fleas at the porch and garden area of our cabin (must be the season?) so we got unwanted flea...

"Lovely site. Stayed with seven adults and two children end of September. Great facilities but would recommend a car as taxis are scarce. We still managed to get ferries etc mainly from Portese which is around 20 minutes walk, but a very steep hill coming back. Shop could have sold more provisions and without a car the Supermarket is a long walk. But saying that it is manageable. Saying all that we had a great time . Salo is also walkable even for my husband and I in our sixties "
