(152 reviews) Gorgeous rooms and amazing service. Solomon and Antonio make sure you’re well taken care of. Anything we needed was taken care of really promptly. Rooms are spotless, and AC works well. A few major negatives though: The door to our room didn’t lock. We raised this the first day and they looked at it and acknowledged it didn’t lock, but took no steps towards fixing it. So our room was just unlocked the whole stay. Thankfully, the property has a locking gate, but still, we were women traveling and it didn’t feel safe to sleep with the door unlocked and leaving all our stuff in the room when we were out. This is really unacceptable for a property at this price. The room design gives only 50% privacy in the shower. That is, the wall around the shower only covers your bottom half. Hopefully you’re traveling with a romantic partner; I wasn’t and now know my friend a lot better than we ever intended. I know this is a trendy layout for Instagrammable hotels, but it’s really not practical or convenient. And finally, this is advertised as an adults only property, but there was a family staying there with kids, and one looked to be around 10 years old. Oddly, the food at breakfast was great, but dinner was underwhelming, but there are other options within walking distance. I mention negatives so people will know what they’re getting into, but overall, we had a fantastic time. We really loved this hotel and would stay again if we can guarantee a room with a lock on it! There is not enough room around the pools for the number of people. To get a chair in the area of the infinity pools, you need to be up and at the pool before 6 and be prepared to stay until past breakfast. If I’m on vacation, I’d rather not get up that early. The one day I attempted that madness, I was there from 5:15 until 6:15 then went back to the room to get ready for breakfast and the staff removed my towels and belongings. There are some spots at the less sought after pools (no view) and sometimes the beach. I was frustrated by the process. The Portofino restaurant was very good but otherwise the food was rather bland and seldom warm or freshly prepared. But honestly, I’d stay again for the beautiful beach and view. (1,002 reviews) We just spent 10 days at the resort. It was a great time. The weather was awesome it was very HOT be sure to pack enough sunscreen we ran out and had to buy another. They sell in the gift shop and at the shops across the road right out the front gate. The rooms were clean and the bed was oh so comfy. Food had great variety from authentic Mexican to pizza burgers hot dogs and fries. I am sure everyone can find something to eat each day. The pool servers and bartenders did a great job of keeping the drinks flowing. The staff in all the restaurants and around the property were all so kind and smiling. They have a great group working there. The entertainment crew at the pool does a great job of keeping the music and the games going for some fun during the day. My only thing with them is I really feel they should be in bright exciting colors to identify them easily the grey and white seems drab for the fun crew. The ocean is great but it was strong somedays so be sure to keep little ones in arms reach. There were vendors on the beach not many and none were pushy a simple no thank you and they carried on. The shows in the theater were great. Only 1 hour long which was perfect to show off their talents and to enjoy after supper. We tried all 3 al a carte restaurants and all were delicious too. Great atmosphere and presentation at all 3\. All in all it was a great stay and we have no problem coming back one day. Thank you for the wonderful vacation.
