Overall it was a good stay. I would've given it 4.5 stars if I could.
The only thing I don't like is how high off the ground the bathtubs are. Very unnaturally high and one might easily hurt themselves going in or out of it.
There was no bag in the bathroom garbage can and under the bed was really dusty.
I also didn't appreciate that I had to pay extra to use the hot tub.
I would go there again.

Le Metropole is definitely the best hotel in Alexandria, and our best in Egypt. The minute you step in, you feel special. Loved the historical grandiose and the tentative service. View from our sea view room was great and so is the view from the rooftop restaurant. Breakfast has a great variety. We ate in the rooftop restaurant everyday and food was delicious. Pre dinner light meal was a nice touch. A slight area of improvement: services are not always consistent. For example, there was a turn down service for only 1 out of 3 nights we were there. There was not enough supply of toilet paper. Sometime there was loud music in the hallway. Food served was cold for 1 dinner and presentation and quantity was inconsistent from dinner to dinner. We were not served bread rolls for 1 out of 3 nights.
