Upon arrival and throughout our stay, Mandarin's hotel staff exceeded our expectations. There is plenty to do on the premises and the food was excellent. The surrounding restaurants are also terrific and everything is a short drive from the hotel. Highly recommended.

The best property by far ! Besides the place looking make believe, the service from everyone on property is great. Always with smiles and joy. We had a butler which is the way to go because they do also everything for you. Love here and coming back to sandals!

This hotel has great potential. The location is excellent, the views are gorgeous, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The walk to the beach was longer than expected and involved many stairs, but it made for a good workout. Unfortunately, several aspects of our stay fell short. Although the hotel advertised a swim-up bar, it was unavailable, leaving the pool area without service. Even if the bar is not operating, having a staff member check on guests and offer refreshments would improve the experience. The pool did not appear to be maintained daily, and the food lacked flavor. Additionally, we had to wait for another guest to return a blow dryer, which suggested there may have been only one available for the hotel. One evening, we returned to find our room covered in rain flies. They were on the pillows, curtains, headboard, sheets, and floors. When we called for assistance, we were told the insects may have been attracted to the lights and that the issue developed because of the rain. Regardless of the cause, encountering that many insects throughout our room was unpleasant. Our departure was also challenging. No one was available to assist with our luggage because the receptionist said she was the only staff member at the hotel. We had to carry our bags down the stairs ourselves and ask our taxi driver for help. With greater attention to maintenance, staffing, amenities, and the overall guest experience, this hotel could better live up to its potential.
