Clean room, pleasant staff who carried our luggage up the very numerous steps to our room, and back down again in the morning. Accommodation more suited to backpackers than an elderly couple but it served us well for the one night we had booked. Lovely view from the balcony.

hotel was ok, the only rooms with air con are up a steep hill (not for the faint hearted)we where moved to a lower room , but that was quite steep , maybe ok for younger people or very fit , the staff are lovley , we have been to Bequia many times but usually on a boat ,so decided to go on land this time ,
This hotel was wonderful. Our room was large with a beautiful view. It’s convenient to talk to from the port and to other restaurants and parts of the beach. The service was extremely slow at the restaurant but that’s to be expected everywhere in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The true authentic Caribbean with a relaxed charm , character and ambience…. The staff are exceptionally good and make everything flow seamlessly to ensure a wonderful stay. Lovely food , bar and great coffee shop next door where one can relax , chill, read or just enjoy the fabulous views.

The Frangipani hotel is the most beautiful hotel just on the outskirts of town.
The staff are incredibly friendly and very helpful.
My room had the best view across the bay, and was always kept clean and tidy.
Would definitely recommend!
Great Hotel that has it all . The room 17 and 18 are the best view and comfort . Hôtel restaurant and coffee shop are simply the best , menu is nice and prices are fare .
Enjoy the ocean side walk to Queen Elizabeth beach and local food resto and beach bars .
Bequia is a jewel and touch my heart 🌈🍍🌠

Charming old hotel with great views could do with money being spent on it, and a bit more care to clean and check.

There was limited lightning and safe did not work. The room needed to be updated
The staff was pleasant and helpful.
I stayed in a beautiful room high up looking over the bay. I found the balcony a nice place to read whilst looking at all the boats, ships, and yachts below.
The team in reception, the restaurant, and bar were always very polite. I recall how sympathetic they were when my bank kept me on the phone for 20 minutes just to pay a bill.
I learned from Bequia Hertigage Museum, it is also historic, being the first hotel on the island some 80 years ago when the only vistors were those on Yachts.
I shall definitely be back!

The staff was good and welcoming for the most part. Unfortunately I was unable to check in the night I was supposed to and arrived early (9:30am) the next morning and still had to wait for my room even though it should have been well ready .The room was the highest room on the property with steps and cobblestone. Not the easiest to access .One would normally not mind because the view was fantastic however, the air was still and the little floor fan did nothing to alleviate that. No AC. The room was mostly clean, however the bathroom needed to be better. The shower immediately filled up with water because of the hair in the drain. Water pressure was minimal and the water turned off after 3 minutes. You had to wait to finish your shower. Walking bare foot back into the bedroom area I stepped on our shard of glass. I picked it out then I picked up the rug, shook it out side and heard all the other dirt come off of it. I repeated this with the other area rugs. To me this should be a basic cleaning habit . The room was not stocked with a bath towel. Just one hand towel which I unfortunately did not realize until I took a shower. The safe in the room was not working and I immediately requested it be fixed which it was not. The bed was hard, some people like this but it was too hard for me.The only way to communicate with the front desk was to go to it or use your cell phone. It was one of the more centrally located accommodations on the bay with an easy walk to town.
It is a very nice property. Unfortunately there was only one sheet and the air was very cold, so I had bad nights, and turning up the temperature was risking mosquito bites. The mosquito net is not appropriate for the size of the bed. The bed needs a good adjustment and it makes a hard sound every time you move or sit down. We understand that the water pressure may be low, but bathing took longer than usual, however it was warm which contrasted with the cold air in that room. Apart from everything, it was very nice, comfortable, with a nice view, we always had little birds by the window and a chicken that walks around the back of the hotel. Christine (I think that is her name), is at the reception, as a waitress, attentive to details, was very kind and helped us find a solution to a problem that we had.
We like the location close to the great beaches and nearby restaurants, had a cool bar and dining set up over looking the waters, didnt try their food or drinks no comment there. Stayed one night for over $600ec and was placed in one room without a AC or working fan some lights didnt work no 120v outlet made a complaint to get upgrade to a sloghtly better building across the way all was fine until we had to go to the bathroom that had a large investation of millipeded and 2 small gieko, couldnt do another night, they can keep the over priced change, the manager didnt have any courtesy to even address us at any point, theres way too much nicer place in bequia to stay. THIS is My honest experience
Sadness becomes the Frangipani
It is bittersweet to write this review, as I have a long history with the Frangipani Hotel, dating back 38 years, with my most recent visit approximately 17 years ago. Time moves on, and changes are inevitable, but unfortunately, the Frangi has allowed itself to slip into a state of disrepair. While it remains a beloved gathering spot for locals and tourists, staying at the hotel has become fraught with challenges.
During my stay, I encountered daily inconveniences, including no water or hot water, stained bath towels, and noise from music drifting uphill into rooms that offered little respite. Despite raising these concerns with the front office—who were polite and attentive—they provided few solutions, apart from replacing the towels on one occasion.
This experience was disheartening for someone who has stayed here many times and once could not imagine staying anywhere else on Bequia. Regrettably, I will choose a different option for my next visit.
That said, credit must be given where it is due. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with well-made beds, and the restaurant seems to be their primary focus, offering enjoyable meals. Sadly, the charm and care that once defined the Frangi have faded, leaving loyal guests like me disappointed.
MAJOR POINTS:
• Sporadic water supply: The water supply was inconsistent, with disruptions occurring daily, making basic needs a challenge.
• Toilet issues: The toilet required daily repairs, adding unn

I made a booking with Expedia for two nights at the rate of $50 USD per night.
Expedia do not take the money but Frangipani was supposed to. My cards are all working for bookings everywhere else. Frangipani rejected payments several times.
I wrote many emails to say I would be turning up and will pay upon arrival.
When I turned up Sabrina the owner/manager, said she was no way going to let me have the website price that is shown on my reservation. She claimed the price was for one night, but clearly as you will see, it says two.
Then she said it was a special offer for locals only. Local independence day. Another load of codswallop. I had seen these advertised prices for so many weeks, long before I even arrived in the country. She could see I had lots of bags and that I would have little choice.
So,then she cancelled my booking and told me to make another booking.
Then she contacted Expedia immediately so when I looked the prices had more than doubled. I asked why she changed the prices as I knew she did because she ran away from the counter for so long. She did not deny. She said she contacted Expedia and asked them to remove the offer ASAP. And they did. She cancelled my reserved booking, and did not honour this out of decency. She said 'there is no way I am giving you a room at $50 per night'. It did not matter that this was advertised at this price.
Totally unfair and false advertising
Enjoyed my stay here. Friendly staff - good amenities

Noisy with music until very late and the sheets were dirty, no towels in the room, toilet not flushing, door lock not functioning. Moist in the ceiling and the general clean very poor. Never would recommend this place 👎👎👎
The room needs a total upgrade with installation of AC unit and other amenities to make a stay comfortable. Mosquitoes is rampant and with good windows installation this can fix that problem. The rate for nightly is overpriced based on the condition of the room.
I spent a week here and it was the best week of the year - what a wonderful way to end the year. There was music every evening (that would stop at a reasonable time to sleep), fireworks on NYE, a giant floating event for the first day of the year, and a lovely attitude by everyone. The room was great, I was worried about bugs, but a net was put up around the bed for me. Also, there was a bug repellent provided. Whenever an issue happened, someone was available to fix it. The electricity went out & was immediately fixed. There was an issue with the water, but they worked on it tirelessly & fixed it. I had breakfast, lunch and dinner here (and other spots as well on the boulevard) but the food here was wonderful at all times. Slow service is common everywhere on the Caribbean, so relax. There is no air conditioning, but with a fan is okay in the evening. It was honestly all I needed to sleep nicely. You are on an island, go to the beach during the day, come back for dinner & have fun at the bar. Great spot if you are solo like myself - make friends easy. I was given a second floor room, so that definitely made me feel safer & more enjoyable views. Highly recommend staying here, enjoy.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience from the start.
On the first day we arrived, the room was extremely dirty. There were visible stains inside the toilet bowl, and the liquid hand soap in the bathroom was already half-used — something that could easily have been replaced before new guests arrived.
There was no air conditioning, only an old, dusty fan. Above the bed, there was a mosquito net, but it was full of dust and dead insects, which made sleeping very uncomfortable and unpleasant.
On the first night around 10 pm, the water supply was cut off. I understand that it is the dry season in the Caribbean, but this is still a hotel — water should be available at all times.
The second night around 9 pm, the water was cut again, and there was no water until 9 am the following morning. My husband had to go to the lobby both at night and in the morning, and there was no staff available at all.
Honestly, I’m not sure if we went there for a holiday or to struggle.
I would never choose this hotel again — next time, I’d rather stay directly on the beach.
