Long Caye Pet-friendly Vacations

The place was clean but the photos are showing 2 places. The beds were confortable. The bedroom were not insonorated like it was written so we could ear lots of neighborhood dogs barking at night. Overall the place had everything we needed to visit that local part of Belize.

This was our second stay with Belizean Coves Estate, and it won't be our last. Service was (as always) impeccable along with the amenities. My grandchildren were in the pool and the staff (without asking) got floaties out for them to use. That's the kind of service you receive here.

Easy check in. The property was very responsive before I arrived and during my stay. We communicated through text messages. The staff on property were very helpful, friendly and responsive to our needs. Cabanas were clean. The amenities were basic. Bodywash, shampoo and conditioner, hand sanitizer. Small, quiet, intimate, adults only boutique hotel. The location was perfect for us. It’s practically in the middle of the island. Close enough to San Pedro city center to get to excursions, the ferry, or airport within 20 minutes on a golf cart but far enough away to be out of the bustle. The truck stop is literally across the street!! It’s close to the Rum dog pier restaurant. The coffee shop closes at 1pm. So having the truck stop and rum dog close by for lunch and dinner makes meals easy. But there are plenty of other restaurants near by as well. No shortage there. It’s a cute space. Cabanas have private porches. We ate our breakfast there everyday The breakfast was included. Yay! Get the fry jack breakfast. IJS….No real swimming pool just a water feature that sits about 12 adults. Which is nice to sit in after a long day. You get the slow pace Island vibes when you stay here. I recommend 100%.

The breakfast was great different choices on menu. The only thing is the hotel didn’t mention that there was was sargasm on their beach side making it impossible to swim. It had a strong smell too. And there was no sandy beach.

stayed in for two nights. It was great, got to use the spa, complimentary continental breakfast and gym. upscale the staff was attentive and friendly

We had a great time staying at Villa Massis. The entire staff was very friendly and very accommodating and very warm and they took good care of us while we stayed there.

The staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional. The villa was beautiful and kept clean and up-to-date. Everything in the unit worked. The food was delicious albeit different from standard fair. The horseback riding tour was the best value for the money at the resort for things to do. The only thing I had trouble finding a chair that was comfortable the living room furniture was pretty, but very hard to sit on. While the food was delicious, the portion sizes for the prices were on the high side. The Seafood pasta did not come with any pasta and only a few pieces of seafood. A bottle of Heineken for $11 was the highest I have paid for one at any resort in Belize even on the Cayes.

If you are looking for the jungle experience than this is the place for you. We were greeted by the local troop of Howler monkeys on arrival. Beautiful house right on the river. Locals had been seeing Manitee in the river near the house. Kenny and Shanna were great. We are already planning a return trip.
