Downstate New York Pet-friendly Vacations

Hudson View Suite was really big, 2 rooms--lots of windows--nice bath--big tub and separate shower--everything was very large for NYC standards. Nicely appointed. DID NOT LIKE that the rooftop bar is operated by a separate company & we were denied access just to go up and get a drink even though the "special event" on the rooftop was over--if you are staying at a hotel, you should be able to go to the hotel bar. The daytime Bellman was the one of the nicest gentleman I have ever met--I would go back just to see him. :)

Park Lane is fabulous for an extended stay in NYC. I recommend a studio suite on the 30th floor, #3000. Majestic and panoramic views of Central Park. Staff keep your room immaculately clean. Location is ideal for walks in Central Park. Visit Strawberry Fields on Sunday for Beatles/John Lennon's live music performances by excellent musicians. Museums, shopping and excellent restaurants are within walking distance from Park Lane. Breakfast on the 44th floor is delicious with incredible service and views. All staff at Park Lane are friendly and very helpful. My stay was the best and truly unforgettable!

The best thing this hotel has is the location. Staff is not the most helpful neither not helpful, they are OK.... They talk to you and tell you everything you are supposed to know at check in so quickly so they can finish with you and continue doing what they are doing... The property is a nice one but details start to make it look that needs an update. The corners of all the lobby dark wood pieces are all chipped. Easy fix paint them dark again so you can't see them. Same in the elevators that need more cleaning on the walls and definitely on the elevator's rugs: you can see the dirt in the corners of the rugs that are not the same exact size as the elevator's floors. TLC and maintenance is needed. I am surprised Expedia has this hotel as a 9.0. For this elevated kind of reviews you need more than just location. Room was nice and clean but same again all wood furniture and drawers are chipped. Easy fix get maintenance to paint this regularly. I was given a room next to a closed drainage pipe???? I don't know but my bathroom smelled funky and lots of noises from the bathroom wall. I would give it an 8.0 review

Hotel and staff were great. Everything was clean and well decorated. The bar and restuarant were a lot of fun at night.

They took $6,000 in error form my bank card, made no apology and have been awful about refunding it and two weeks later I am still waiting -

The overall gritty downtown vibe of the hotel based on the theatre was fun. They had a lively bar with live entertainment. The rooms are a bit dated and could be updated.

Love the kitchen. A plus in New York city. Dislike the carpet at the reception area. Very dirty..I couldn't seat arround. Comfy beds.

Really nice hotel with great attentive staff. Great little cafe and bar on main floor. Quiet. My only problem was that fat that the lighting in the bedroom is just bad. Despite little lamps everywhere, the room was always dark. Not sure what could be done about this
