Initially, I had a great check in experience. Alan was very kind and helpful. He told me that he would waive the pet fee associated with my stay. Subsequently, I dealt with Cheryl when I tried to extend my stay by one day, and she was very unhelpful in that process. After check out, Cheryl retroactively applied a pet fee to our stay. While I appreciate that Alan had initially waived the pet fee at check-in, Cheryl’s actions demonstrate poor communication between staff members (at best) or a bait-and-switch (at worst). Additionally, they charge $15 per night for parking on an uncovered surface lot. There is nothing premium about the parking lot, and there is not any deficiency of available spaces. There is a notice on the parking permit that disclaims liability for personal injury, theft, loss, or damage to the vehicle or its content. Even the staff member Todd bemoaned the extra cost as superfluous and stated that it should be included in the booking fee (“It is not an extra”). This is clearly an attempt to reduce the listed price of the room and to nickel and dime customers without providing any extra value. The hotel itself was nice, but these administrative aspects left a whole lot to be desired.
