(2,180 reviews) Ok 1st the good stuff. The rooms are big they have been updated, 2 big flatscreens, a nice balcony, the hotel grounds are nice with good amenities. The bad stuff, the showers are a dated tub shower with the motel 6 shower head. The bathroom had ants in it, the couch was dirty/stained and the ac didn’t work well always seemed hot and stuffy. Although the hotel grounds are nice you are surrounded by bad neighborhoods that get rough at night. The hotel is also out of the way at least for our purposes. The other issue I didn’t like was the parking situation. It is built on a mountain hillside so the grounds understandably are steep and narrow which doesn’t really bother me but if you get there later in the evening good luck parking near your hotel room because the parking gets full and you either have to hike to your room or call for a golf cart ride. Most of the staff was polite and helpful but one of the lobby clerks was rude on the phone and took forever getting us a ride to the lobby. There are better options than Tapatio in Phoenix but if you have a family or a larger group it’s not a bad value. I won’t be staying here again but I’ve been to much worse, I think Hilton has expanded too much and is loosing there edge as a luxury hotel and have become pretty mediocre.
