The staff was great and very accommodating. The spa was clean and comfortable. We will be coming back again!

This review is a bit tricky because I think my expectations were different from what this property actually is. We arrived around 11 p.m., and there wasn’t a single staff member at the front desk or anywhere on the property. It felt surprisingly deserted, which wasn’t the most reassuring first impression after a long day of driving. I was also surprised to discover that all of the rooms have exterior entrances. I hadn’t realized this when booking, and personally I don’t love that style of accommodation because it feels more like a motel than a traditional hotel. It’s clear that this was once an older motel that has been thoughtfully renovated. The design is clean, modern, and stylish, and the renovation team did a good job updating the aesthetic. That said, details like the popcorn ceilings and a lingering musty smell reminded me of the building’s age. Looking back, I think I could have enjoyed the property if I’d gone in with different expectations. It feels like a well-designed, upgraded motel that would appeal to hikers, road-trippers, and people who plan to spend most of their time outdoors exploring Sedona. Based on the photos, descriptions, and overall rating, however, I was expecting something that felt more elevated and more like a boutique hotel. If you know what you’re booking, you may really enjoy it. It just wasn’t quite what I had envisioned based on the ratings, reviews and photos.

Perfect stay close to the canyon

Be cautious booking this resort. It is not a relaxing spa resort as advertised. The courtyard and pool are overrun by people partying and drinking until late hours not respecting quiet hours. Be prepared for screaming and drunk behavior with loud music blasting from personal speakers. The courtyard was trashed every morning with empty glasses, partially eaten food. It felt like being at a campground not a 4 star resort. The staff was nice but don’t address any of this unless you explicitly complain. The only thing redeeming is that the spa while small and underwhelming did provide a nice service.

Great time here

Room and staff were great. Ate, or attempted to eat at the sports bar/restruant, the food was so bad we sent it back. Server was nice enough to take the cost off our bill.

Room was clean and modern. I just didn’t like the metal bed frame, it’s so noisy with move.
