9/10 Wonderful! (2,695 reviews)
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay--even checked on me as I was a solo traveler. The food was incredible and the bar Offerings were decent--house wines could be improved however. I would definitely recommend the resort and am interested in returning when they open their adults only resort in the near future.

8.2/10 Very good! (1,752 reviews)
I recently returned from a vacation in Aruba, where we stayed at RIU, an all-inclusive resort. The property itself is beautiful—especially the family-friendly side—but overall this stay was very disappointing, and the biggest issue was the quality of the food. For lunch and dinner, we tried the buffet multiple times, including going right when it opened. Unfortunately, the food was almost always cold and looked like it had been sitting under heat lamps for hours. We left the buffet more than once just to find something better and ended up eating off the resort to get a decent meal—an added expense that really defeats the purpose of paying all-inclusive. In addition to the food problems, we also had an issue with our room. I booked a junior suite with two double beds, paid well in advance, and when we arrived, we were given a junior suite with a king bed instead. When we brought it to the front desk, they told us that was all they had. That was disappointing, especially considering we specifically paid for the bed setup we wanted. While the resort is attractive, the combination of cold, unappetizing meals and not receiving what we paid for left a lasting negative impression. When we return to Aruba, we will not stay at RIU.
