In the house: central heating system. Restaurant, bar 20 m, bakery 35 m, 20 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Kapelle" 20 m, railway station "Bahnhof Zermatt" 1.5 km. Mountain railway 400 m, ski rental 400 m, ski bus stop 20 m. Cabs cannot stop right in front of the house. Please note: the keys‘ handover takes place by the agency Interhome in Zermatt. Its location gave us spectacular views of the Matterhorn and it was removed from the hustle of the main town. We’d sit on the patio in the evening and just soak up the beauty of the Alps. Being up the hill made the walk a challenge after hiking, but cabs and buses are available. The apartment could use a deep clean, there were cob webs in the bathroom and a previous guess’ spent floss on the floor, but in general, it was clean. The pillows were, well, not pillows, but the bed was comfortable. The wood work is very nice. One suggestion: put a screen on the front window to keep flys out. I’ll stay here again. ##### Joseph F. When you open the door from the apartment, you are literally looking out at the Matterhorn! I suggest that after you arrive and get the keys from the Interhome office, you take the free Red Line bus to the Winklematten bus stop. From there, you are just a few meters from the apartment.
